It's that time again - Stoogefest 2025!

Back by popular demand, and some Stooge hounding, the summer Stoogefest is scheduled. Due to personal issues - don't ask - we had to delay Stoogefest into July. So the date is July 26. The turkey fryers will be ready to roll. We can do at least 4 turkeys so let me know if you want to do one, even if you just want to take it home. We did 4 last year and it worked out. I personally have 2, but I'm sure the wife wants to bake one - so old school. I know Peter will bring one, cousin Mark is another and maybe FBB?

It will be the usual eating, drinking and lie telling. Oh yeah, we might work on cars. Certainly we are available for hints and clues for maintenance and upgrades.

I will keep this thread to track attendees. Time to start clearing your calendars and collecting parts fellow Stooges! Same place as before, casa di me in Rolling Hills Estates, CA.

Lastly, yeah we are 348 and 355 guys but honestly everyone is welcome, although after the 360 maintenance suggestions are just SWAG (scientific wild azz guessing).

WARNING: The Ketel Award will be given out, but this year it will be for good not bad. Maybe...

 

It's looking like an event! Most importantly, for frying turkeys: we have 2 fryers; one for 15 lbs and less and the other can handle up to 25 lbs. I prefer to do + or - 15 lbs since it takes less time at about 45-50 minutes. Either way. Both fryers will be available.

As for work, well, the Stoogefest has morphed into a social event, but we are always willing to do something minor, share our knowledge and maybe even turn a wrench or two. We specialize in 348's and 355's but can handle older models. The more modern the car, the less we know (or care) about.

*Sigh* Bring the EV. Who brings an EV to a Stooge event? A Ketel Award contestant, that's who. Rental? Fine, but I suggest you use Turo and rent something interesting.

Beer welcome. Whisky? If you have Uber, maybe. Also, I'm not driving anywhere, so sure!

3 week warning!

Stoogefest 2025, my house in Rolling Hills, July 26th. Let's start checking in please. I am going to start my phone campaign next week, so I might call you as a reminder. If I have time, I might do a trans oil change on my car. I need to do some other minor stuff. Found some awesome black wax for black cars only made locally in Gardena. We can try it on anyone with a black car if you're game.

 

Next Saturday 7/26 Stoogefest is still on. Hopefully the usual characters show up. For the turkey fryers, make sure you thaw them starting Wednesday if in the fridge. Thursday if you’re doing the cooler and cold water plan. Plus a day for dry dub. Brining is not suggested for the fryer when doing multiple birds, but still works.

I might add fuel filters to my projects list. I can also show how to replace your fuel pressure regs to adjustable. Tim has also don’t this.
