In the meantime in F1 another pathetic performance of the SF25 while Mercedes worked hard to improve the W16 and guess what, they won the race and even get P3 with Antonelli (a rookie)!
I don’t watch F1 anymore. They are so poor in doing anything F1. I am skeptical that they are even actually trying to be competitive at all. For so many years..
Ferrari won its third consecutive 24H Le Mans with the 499P and that was a great achievement. The image below shows the top views of the 499P and the F80 with the dimensions of each car. We can see that the engine position of the 499P is more central than that of the F80 and this is probably one of the factors that helps to achieve a weight distribution close to 50% front 50% rear. The weight difference between the two cars is impressive, 488 kg, and the difference is understandable due to the fact the F80 is a road legal car and the 499P is a one seater pure racer. The cabin of the F80 appears to be at least three times wider than the one of the 499P. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari F80 in La Casa Ferrari during the 24h of Le Mans. Impressive car in person. I love it. Nice effort here, thank you Mario. I don’t think 50/50 is the ideal weight distribution, at least not for a road car. I think it’s actually better to be the F80’s 42/58. Ferrari has often bragged about many of its cars having a similar weight distribution. Maybe for the Circuit de la Sarthe this is the ideal? In any event, to build a road car that can even be in the discussion with a purpose built race car such as the 499P, it is darn impressive.
Can we bring back the marketing department to before it became all about D-tier "Our drivers are so goofy and love the car so much, listen to this totally not scripted commentary!" acting? The script genuinely feels more like a Gillette commercial than a video promoting a $3.5m halocar
These "guys" chit-chat and crow like little girls. Used to be we got to hear the roar of the engine. In this case, however, there's no engine to be heard. Thus, all the sales drivel and redundantly stupid superlatives from two Millenial idiots. Just when you think it can't get any worse, this comes along.....
Here you go, some fantastic video of the car in another color outside of the awful "rosso supercar", also single colored wheels which look best, you can see the detailing and form of the car, great video. They intertwine other cars, just forward trough the other cars and you will see more F80.
BEST video if you have not seen the car in person yet, this will really give you a feeling for the design and form.
Lewis Hamilton, who owns at least three Ferraris, including the Limited Edition 599 SA Aperta and the LaFerrari Aperta, is no stranger to what a Ferrari sexy sound is like. So how can we explain his claim that the F80 has a sexy sound? The only possible explanation is that L.H. sold his soul and ears in exchange for a multi-million dollar contract with Ferrari and its owners. Elkann promised to embrace and champion Hamilton’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, including Mission 44. The potential joint investment fund with Exor could contribute $250 million to Hamilton’s future projects on top of his compensation for his on-track services and marketing ones, making his total deal with Ferrari an astonishing $400 million. Eight months after the launch of the F80, we still have not had any independent tests of the car and only those carried out periodically by Ferrari employees and partners.
Not everything is a conspiracy IMHO. The car is launched but not delivered to anyone yet so not sure why we would see any independent testing? Have we seen independent testing on the W1 and it launched before the F80, or the ZRI? Once the car is in production, shipped we will see testing, without question. And how do you know what the final production version of the F80 sounds like, as stated by Luis, its sexy. No reason to believe he is straight up lying. How about we wait to see and hear the car before we go to a place where Ferrari has turned Luis into their puppet and he has sold his soul. As I mentioned a few month ago, the car will ship with two different exhaust systems, one for the EU and one for non regulated regions, which is great Patience is a virtue...
IMO, the prettiest car there. But I'm not knocking the F80. It looks exactly like what they were trying to do -- take a Le Mans car and adapt it for the street. It looks like someone dropped a new body on top of something that could win Le Mans tomorrow. And that's a really good thing. The entire idea is "just plain nuts" and the look reflects that. Its not pretty and wasn't intended to be. I can say that about a lot of cars today. I'm warming up to it not because of its looks but because of its outrageousness and honesty of purpose. Sometimes something new is shocking to the senses. Over time, it looks different. The Maserati Gt2 is a step backwards. They erased everything good about the styling, which was its purpose. The ONLY reason you would want one of these is because its good looking -- or was. Image Unavailable, Please Login
