Nope. RHD conversion and alloy fuel tanks, 2 very expensive mistakes to put right.

There are more F40's in Australia now than Daytonas, not a long wait till an unmolested one comes up for sale.

It's definitely a Dr Lowball car - owned by a cheapskate who wouldn't spring for new fuel bladders, so had ally ones made instead.

But not the one which got into a tank-slapper on old tyres and wrapped around a pole?

It was a RHD, the fellow that owns it is a bit of an eccentric, but very knowledgeable on carbon work. Very difficult to gain his trust.
But I believe the work is first class.

If it's that one, then it's already too expensive.

All the song and dance about right hand drive conversion and no interior pictures? IIRC it went straight on at a t intersection and took a fair hit.

Umm well it's in the manual transmission section when you do your selection filtering.

If they were proper enthusiast dealers then that would be a matter of course for anyone looking for a FHOHOS...I'd have thought.

...........and it's advertised as 'GT' not GTA.

I agree with everything you said, I was just telling a mate here the reason why it's "cheap" compared to an original F40.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near the asking price of an original F40 for this car because of the mods it's had, best hope would be to buy it cheap and try not to be stuck with it later on when I'd want to sell it lol

I see A LOT of Ferraris coming up for sale, the ride is only going to get rougher from here on in.

Hopefully I can get an F40 before I cark it one day, or at least a ride in one.

Everything looks great in the photos until you go and look at them close up…

Parts, labour, body work… It’s all big dollars on these cars. Caveat emptor…

F40's use (and quickly wear out) a turbo (IHI from memory) unique to the model, which hasn't been manufactured for 20 years. There is nothing else that fits without changing the plumbing, NOS versions are rare and sell for big money. Add to that an appetite for head gaskets and you face significant running costs.
