Guessing next gen SF90 is end of year maybe 2025 spring - we will probably have SF90 in garage XX & next gen SF90 on order and still be hoping for an exhaust
I got the Capristo remote installed. Drove home from the dealer, no cel. Nice to have the valves open and hear the V8. Much improved over stock while keeping all warranties.
I’m still waiting on this. I asked the service manager at F Tampa and they’ve never heard of such a thing. Are you sure this will come to fruition?
I was wondering when you’d show up[emoji23]. South Bay. Just ordered and installed through the dealer.
I'll check my vids, but it just keeps the valve open the whole time so you never lose the sound on throttle lift, or low rpm acceleration.
I’m not sure. It wasn’t a cheap installation, but I think the newer valve openers plug in to the computer software somehow. Something like that….
You are 100% correct. I daily drive mine, I mostly drove in sport mode. The valve is so on/off and exhaust is embarrassingly quiet, but car has insane traction in sport mode. I switched to race mode today, the difference is valve seems to open sooner and stay open more, for example when letting off gas, etc. Sounds way better and louder. Issue is with cup 2 tires I was spinning in 3rd gear in dry 59 degree weather. A valve controller really would enhance the fun factor for this car. What Ferrari should of done is put the race/ct off valve opening/closing programing in sport and valve always open in Race/CT IMO.
Ok, I’ll check tomorrow at some point. I don’t have any plans to as of yet. 296 coming in June and then 296vs spider. Will see how the next v8 is!
Just an update, we have now installed 3 Capristo valve controllers and you do not need to remove the rear bumper as the dealer originally said that would need to happen.
So the original video shoes a full exhaust and valve control. Is this just the valve controller? I'm leaning on doing a full exhaust.
No It does not, just the rear wheels and wheel liners. I also took the heat panels on the top off so i could carefully run the new lines away from the catalytic converter cans
Circling around on this...as it is a year old. As a F8 owner I'd love this but no one has heard of this happening or even talked about. Where did you hear this info and anything more after a year to report on it?
