He's been saying the same thing in XX thread - owned a lot of cars and ones would love to own - never 250mph & 9 sec 1/4 mile. I can't wait.

And the best part is it’s not a pure EV. I thought we’d only get numbers like this from an EV and then this shows up even quicker with a great V8 to listen to.

Not many Chevy guys spend 200k - no ADM - buy.a lot of cars from them.
Simple specs - white / black every CF option / alcantara
Walked from Ford with the application process - Chevy is Apple Pie!

I agree with the sentiment of your post in so far as I think GM will fulfill all demand (vs the traditional, historical? Ferrari model of 'demand minus 1'), but think it will be interesting to see how much demand there is and how GM balances that with production constraints.

Corvette production is not so indifferent than Ferrari in that there is one plant (maybe only one production line?) in Bowling Green that makes one model with several variants. Essentially the same as Ferrari V6/V8 line in Maranello. GM will have to make real decisions on how many of each variant to produce to maximize demand and profit.

I think they have done a marvelous job of cherry picking the different aspects of the top marques and blending it with their own strengths to arrive at the ZR1x. The powertrain and transmission formula similar to SF90 XX. The ability to get it in 'stealth' (GT3 Touring like) with no wing, or 'max track' (GT2/GT3 RS like) with the huge wing. And leveraging the ZR1 brand (I would go so far as 'mystique' if you grew up in the time of the original ZR1 and were enamored with it) vs Zora was very smart.

It is true that a lot of Vette buyers won't go to $200k+ for this, but let's say a totally trimmed out ZR1x convertible is $250k...a lot of Porsche RS, Mac, Ferrari buyers will be intrigued and jump in.

It for sure isn't the same as the total Ferrari ownership experience, but the ZR1 idea is legendary and this car on just its merits is bonkers. Hope the driving dynamics pan out to be fantastic as it's a winner on paper.

I rented a new Z06 a few months back in Palm Springs... I was shocked at how much I liked it. My first time in a Corvette.

The 5% of Ferrari owners that actually race their cars will absolutely take notice of the new ZR1X because its engineering is world-class. I won't pass on the Speciale allocation for it, at least not yet, but I am absolutely intrigued by the new Corvette.

I read that the ZR1X price is $175k, when people have previously lost $200k alone in depreciation from the SF90 I can see a few Ferrari owners being potentially drawn to it

Here's a quick brush over with an AI request "match green paint" - the PS AI assistant is getting useable lately.

America! Love that they developed a new breaking material and setup that is superior to Brembo, lets see what GM can do in F1, will be interesting!

Getting super off topic now which I really frown upon, but have to note that I live in Indy and the owners of the new F1 team are based in my village (suburb). Everyone locally is super psyched for Cadillac F1. They are scaling now and hiring hundreds. Going to be fun to see what kind of hey they can make!!

Agree but keeps things interesting - doubt many know of F1 Cadillac.
Reuss needs to create excitement and bring some verison of ZR1 to Cadillac, even if it's mid engine.

I just looked up the ZR1 X. The numbers are very impressive and the car looks great. Compared to a 296, the car has 400 additional hp and a 0-60 time almost a full second faster!

Anyone know if you can get the hood stripes with the racing number, but not the side door number? or does it all have to come together?

The best fabrics and color selections - only TM I doubt you can get different seat fabrics outside TM,
Atelier / dealer should separately price stripes numbers. Lots of new items get passed down to Atelier later on, but not all, You have to request and then management has to approve..For highest spec - go to the factory TM,

I am fairly sure you can get the stripes without the numbers.
