It, more importantly, means they haven't been able to sell all the available build slots. When did a Ferrari dealer advertise available build slots? I've never heard that before.

Maybe a small G, certainly not good enough to be treated decently by the dealer. I guess they want me to lose more money.

For those that were doing well in prior years are probably doing just as well or better now. Small sample size but most people I know are doing well unless in commercial RE.

    Not in US
May well be , the sales are not evenly distributed in a market as large as the US

Given that it will cost you $100k to drive it off the lot, it is absolutely reasonable to ask, but the answer will definitely be no.

Indeed, I see no reason why they would give a discount.

I think the best thing to do for people that purchased a 296 new is not to worry about the depreciation and use the car and drive it as much as possible.
It lost its value already anyway; how much miles the car has won't make a big difference anymore so enjoy it.

Next is to skip the next model to avoid a depreciation hit on that one as well.

Then the model after that one you can see to order new again or not.

The 296 is a car that when set up right, lowered , right wheels and colour spec is a very nice package. Maybe not as beautiful as some of the creations before it, but with the aforementioned, it can present very well. The interior they absolutely nailed it.

It has incredible performance - but it's smaller inside than recent cars (from 458 on) and the haptics are terrible (although this should not be a deal breaker, and newer cazrs have been improved).

They would if they’ll lose even more selling it for 100k off after sitting for 9 months paying 5% interest.

But the way to go about the discount is before it goes into production when the deposit can still be refunded, surely the values were clear 6 months ago.

I got a deep discount to spec mine new in UK, still £50k to drive off the lot though

I didn’t find the 296 much smaller inside than the 458. Do you think it is?

It's definitely smaller than the 488 / F8; my memories of 458 are beginning to be old but the 458 has basically the same shell as the 488 / F8, so I suppose it is (smaller, but maybe not much).

I own both (Italia and GTB) with racing seats and am 6'4". The 296 is definitely smaller. But not that much smaller.

I am a medium sized guy and find the 296 fine size wise inside - don't feel cramped sitting next to someone, but it does feel smaller than a 458 I had.

More importantly for me though, I love that the car feels smaller on the road though vs. 458, 488, and F8, especially as it feels so agile.

The good thing about over supply is it should be possible for everyone thinking about one to sit in and probably even drive one. Or if none locally head to Vegas if in US and try one at Dream Racing or Speed Vegas.

That’s my thought as well. Someone will end up buying the car I spec’d at a discount. Might as well be me.

Mine went into production almost a year ago. I kept hoping that the market might shift for any number of reasons.

Is the offer coming from the original dealer ? If so they 're being a bit conservative - but 250- 270 is crazy low IMO

USD? Cant be. BAT has GTBs selling for more and BAT is the worst place to sell your modern Ferrari unless you are ok with selling wholesale. Look at the buyers of many of the late model Ferraris on BAT, dealers.

Depends on time frame, many disagree but it could be a $225k car before long (couple years) especially wholesale/for quick move. I hope not as I'm taking delivery of a new GTB soon and plan to get a Speciale and only have one 296 family in garage. But there are a lot of them out there relative to demand and 296M probably coming before long.

I didnt feel cramped in the 296 GTB at 6’2”. Inside my 458 spider it feels like there is a LOT of extra room that is not needed.

Your dealer offered you $100k loss to take back your new car ($417K)? What did you mean 250- 270?

I’m guessing that was a typo and he meant $450k-$470k?

Massive difference. As most of you know, I’m the resident fchat big guy at 6’6” 260lbs. I’m super comfortable in my Pista, but I’ve tried to shoehorn myself into a 296 many times and I’ve never been able to make it work.

as a buyer I feel like BATs hammer prices including buyer premium are higher than what you can get at a dealer with a little negotiating..depending on how you define "wholesale" if I were selling a used ferrari I would use BAT too for sure, I think they are higher than what dealers are paying

Whoops... 250 - 270 typo. meant 450 - 470 retail is what they should receive.
