Hello everyone, I just purchased a 2017 Cali T. I had 2 inspections to review on it (one by a factory ferrari dealership, second by an indy) and neither mentioned the rattle sound coming from the far-right exhaust. It is loud and tinny sounding. The dealer I bought it from said that it is supposed to be that way because of expansion when the exhaust pipes heat up, so there is give when system starts up and is cold. It does seem to be a little better after driving for a bit. But I have heard many Ferraris and none of them have a rattle like this. Searching the web some have said it is a loose bracket possibly. Anyone have experience with this?

Likely one of the exhaust bypass valves. First check they have proper vacuum and that the diaphragm hold vacuum. if it is indeed the bypass valves they get worn and you will either need to replace the muffler or have a new valve welded into the existing.

The exhaust bypass valve rattle is common on all Ferrari's that have one. The only way to figure out what is rattling on your car is to have someone listen to it from cold and determine what part is causing the rattle. There is no way that you can have someone remotely determine the cause of your noise.

Yes, the valve is part of the complete silencer assembly.
