and it's got the highly desirable slush box! You would throw $100K at that thing and not see a material improvement. Pity there's one on Hemmings, same colour but with the 4.9 engine and it doesn't need restoring. Landed cost here $112K.
Yup, someone paid $103,000 + commission. I hope they know what they're in for. Hopefully will be back on the road, sometime...
AKS "Another Klein Special" It's a 4.7, that's a sweet engine, quite a bit more torque than the 4.2. This car was ordered with A/C and power steering which is a nice addition. Oddly, it has the 4.2 dash. I am not a fan of the Borg-Warner automatic in that car. It's quite clunky, and the automatic has a shorter final drive over the 5 speed, not as relaxed on the highway. The 4.9 is great, Citroen brakes on the later cars (After production number 99). Underrated and mechanically strong, if you start with a strong one. And this one isn't. I hope someone takes it on and returns it to the road.
Idiot. I wouldn't go near it with your pole let alone my own. The one at Marc's is sooo much more desirable.
Something different Carl can get his gnashing teeth around. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1968-aston-martin-dbs-manual/SSE-AD-19177709/
Yes, did the bodywork and paint himself from memory. Lovely job, hope he kept the original driveline. The car sits high at the front, would appear (and not surprising) that the 4 litre Aston 6 was heavier than the 5 litre Holden.
