Are all these cars getting stuck at the port bc of tariffs? I have some of this in the past but not to this level. I am going to slow boat my gts but will probably fly my PS and 12 cylinder…seems like a very expensive workaround
I don't think anyone knows but lots are guessing for 296 especially it's because Ferrari is hoping higher tariffs will go away and they won't be out for the price protection they promised people.
My 296GTS just went status 90 so fingers crossed all of this resolves by the time it hits port. Seems like, as of the past few days, there has been some progress on the tariff talk, with concessions on automotive tariffs being part of the discussion. Can't blame Ferrari for holding off, since a concession of, say, 10% could mean a ~$50k per-unit swing in import cost...
Frustrated. Ordered a TM car 2 years ago and was hoping to have it for the Ferrari North America rally this year, but still no show.
Do you know what status your car is at and where it is right now? Of the people here (US Based) that know that their new car is in NJ, I'm curious who's car has been there the longest. I think all of us hope that our own car has been the longest so as to preserve hope that it is being released soon. July 7th is the last day for shippers to load vehicles to be marked as 'in transit' so as to benefit from the transit-exception prior to the US Trade Representative to release letters to each country indicating decisions on what happens after the 90 day reprieve from the reciprocal tariffs. That said, it doesn't make sense why 296s would sit around given that people with cars at Status 91 mean they've already landed here. There must be some other reason. Steering wheel? Recall on something coming? etc.
I heard there is recall for exhaust valves on 296. I don’t know if that would delay delivers or a parts issue.
That makes more sense. It would be great if someone that's run into this issue on their car has the new part number and a copy of their work order so we can share information to all dealers to resolve this for all owners.
My Car has been at port since Apr 8th this is the 13th week on Wednesday coming up. 3 months at port. I may at this point by an on the lot car, and just pass on the car if it ever comes in
Hang in there. As someone posted above, the frustration of the wait melts away when you have the car in hand. Is it a GTS, and what area of the US is it going to? As I message my dealer on what's going on with my car, it also reminds me that their GM is likely highly motivated to apply pressure to get the cars sooner than later to sell them. FNA, dealers, transporters, PPF, banks, etc all make money when the car exchanges hands to customers so I don't think we're the only ones pushing.

Stopped in at Lake Forest on the way home from Challenge at Indy. Sales rep told me they had over 20 cars sitting in NJ, some for MONTHS. Congrats on getting yours. I wonder if Ferrari purposely held them until the 3rd quarter.
Has the frustration melted away? Good news arrived today too for me. Just got word that my car is on transport on its way to the dealer. Should be about 2 weeks out now.
Uhhh, when the 296 sits at the port for months, is it plugged in? Wouldn't they die after a week without power?
I received my first pics last week as well. Nero DS. Our cars are likely on the production line together. I have been to the factory tour a couple times and the production line is a very nice place to be! Let's see when our cars arrive? I am told November/December. Cheers !
