So many things. My favorite is the interaction between the door, the rear fender and the floor.

Does anybody know if the 4-Point harness was available within the United States? Form what I’ve been able to gather, it was unavailable in Japan, Malaysia, Australia, and China.

I believe the 4-point is illegal in the US for *reasons* so no model, special or otherwise, is sold with them. Monza SP1/2s were never technically sold in the US for this reason, as all of them have 4-point belts. They are imported under a special exemption called "Show and Display"

I do hope Ferrari does something with that (possibly) DOT compliant harness patent they filed a while back.

Unveiled on the Friday of Ferrari Challenge at Indianapolis. Obviously no pictures allowed. At least it is better than the 812 Comp that looked like they let a 5 year old loose with a Sharpie.

If I ever had the chance to ride in a Daytona SP3, it would be the fulfillment of one of my biggest dreams.
In my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful Ferrari models ever created – a true masterpiece of design and engineering.

It looks hideous but I would still pay at least MSRP given how 1 of 1 it is.

What do we think it will go for, though, given the tax element? $10M?

Given someone can write off 40% or more and some SP3’s have sold for near $7m already (at least that I know of maybe more now). The CompA they did this with sold for over $4m (I hope I have that right). Sooo…that’s quite a premium over market. $10m might be conservative.

I’m pretty sure that was a comp coupe. Just for fun Im guessing $12m.

The latest SP3 shows a shocking lack of imagination. From the same people who were reluctant to even paint the 'FERRARI' name on the rear spoiler of an XX model. They then proceed to plaster the 'FERRARI' name down the length of the SP3. And worse they run out of yellow paint and say "good enough". Or so it looks with this result. P. T. Barnum was correct.
There have been some wonderful tailor made version SP3 models created along the way; this 'tailor made' auction car is hardly one of them.

The previous charity model also in yellow the 812 Competizione known as the 'sketch car' showed some real imagination. A drawing created by Flavio Manzoni was brought to life in a 3 dimensional model that reflected the talent of the designer going about his work. Selling price 5.1 million.

My first thought was that it looked like a collaboration with the designers from the, erm, fashion line.

I really liked the yellow "Sketch Car" or "Sharpie 812 Comp" as we might also dub it. As for this "auction SP3", I don't think it's too bad, sober indeed, but it's ok.

The design of the 812 Competizione was done by "Marc Poulain", not by Flavio Manzoni.

With Ferrari the top guy always takes the credit. Thanks for that correction!
