I'm hearing conflicting stories, one from an owner who had to take his car to a dealer for post windscreen replacement calibration.
But my F8 does not have any kind of ADAS, just the standard rain sensor and the Adaptive light control sensor.
Was ADAS, i.e. lane departure, speed limit reader etc, even an option on the F8?

And if my car does not have any such cameras, I presume there is nothing for the dealer to calibrate, right?
Rain sensors and adaptive light sensors don't need specialist calibration, or do they?

Would like first hand experience from F8 owners who have had windscreen replacements please.

No, it does not. The sensor/gel pad just have to be contacting the glass and the sensors will work right away.

The F8 never had ADAS (lane assist, speed sign recognition, etc.) not even as an option. If yours just has the rain sensor and adaptive lights, no calibration is needed after a windshield replacement. Those sensors self-adjust. Some dealers might push for a "recalibration" ($$$), but it’s pure profit padding in your case. First-hand reports from F8 owners confirm: no cameras = no calibration. Just make sure the new windshield’s mounting points don’t block the sensors. Save the dealer visit.

Thank you, that’s what I thought. Will push back if they insist it needs to be done. Another reason to love the F8, I hate all that ADAS stuff and in 2025 cars you have to switch them off every drive!

hmmm, speed sign recognition?-- Mine has a speed sign on the TFT screen and it's white and turns red when you cross the speed limit. If that's what you mean, the F8 definitely has it. Pretty sure mine also has something in the left TFT that says lane something because I remember turning it off too. hmmmm

Incorrect- mine has a full ADAS menu option in the left TFT.

That's amazing I did not know it comes with a full ADAS.
Thanks for the correction at least I have learned something new.

Yep, your F8 has speed sign recognition shows white, turns red if you exceed it. It also has lane departure warnings (the "lane something" message), which you can disable in settings. Both features are part of Ferrari’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Not all models have them enabled by default, but yours clearly does

  11. The answer is YES.

Dealer needs to recalibrate your sensors after replacing your windshield.
