You want me to speak for "Ya'll." Me, personally, has said that Hamilton was at the right place at the right time when he joined MercedesAMGF1 in 2014 for the turbo-hybrid era where he accumulated 6 WDC titles and regulations that made the Mercedes cars dominant up until 2021. I cannot speak for "Ya"ll." On Max's side, he's been fighting since he entered F1 and made other F1 drivers at Interlagos 2016 AND 2024 look just like mediocre in the wet. He's never had regulations to make his car dominant for several years like Hamilton has had. So in my part, it doesn't lessen Max's skills and talents should he switch to MercedesAMGF1 IF they make a fast car for 2026. He's broken many records in 2023 and will continue to do so IF the car is fast for 2026.
Antonelli is staying IF Max moves to MercedesAMGF1. Russell is in the hot seat SHOULD Max switch to MercedesAMGF1.
Thanks for saying something that makes sense. Sir Lewis Hamilton's skills and talents weren't lessened either when he switched. But you have the haters who bashed him ready to give Max a pass if he does the same thing.

The difference is the regulations between the Hamilton era with MercedesAMGF1 and the Max era with MercedesAMGF1(should he switch). One era of regulations elongated the drivers titles while the other era does not. I don't think it's fair to stymie other teams with regulations that give 1 team dominance but all parties participated in that era of regulations. It is what it is.
Piquet Jr. said otherwise during his podcast just recently about Antonelli. This is just me but I believe Toto has a liking towards the rookie than he does with Russell.

I would add that Charles is far better than Smug. Max only advantage on Charles is the wet, he's better no doubt...but i believe Charles is better on other things. But Smug is to me much better than Norris, and Piastri, i think he's already better thn Norris, and still has some margin to grow....
I like Charles. I thought he was a star even before he got the drive at Ferrari and still think when he's on his game he is as fast as anyone in qualifying. However, he is a long long ways off Max IMO. Charles still makes big mistakes all on his own. Yes he's got plenty of poles but how many times has he translated those into wins? Very few. He doesn't seem to have that balance between quali and race pace, especially when you factor in tire management. He certainly isn't comparable in mental toughness. He doesn't seem to have the strategic acuity as other drivers. Even Sainz seemed to do a better job at calling his own strategy. Charles occasionally has his days that are incredibly impressive. Over a course of a season, I'd put my money on Max in equal machinery.
Charles Leclerc is a fashion model, a playboy who isn't bad at racing as a diletante. For him F1 is a hobby, that's why he fits at Ferrari: they have the same goal.
No one said his career was lessened. Your constant need to twist the narrative is insane. But to answer your question, no I don't believe his career willl be lessened at all. Merc hasn't won a championship in a while. Max did his time rebuilding a team that hasn't won in a while, losing engines and so on to build it into a title winning team. He's "allowed" to pick and choose whatever team he likes now. There is no guarantee that Merc will be the fastest team next year. I think it's more likely they'll have a better car than Red Bull next year. Mclaren however has some very clever people, Honda seems to do alright with the engine, Ferrari is always a question mark.
Well, we can desagree, i don't think Charles makes anymore mistakes than Max or Lewis or anyone else, and i think he's very smart while racing, his fighting wit Max proves it. I also think he's very tough mentaly...the biggest diference to max is lambiase! Charles never had a good engineer, someone like Bono or G.P., this is where Ferrari is failing him. He's one of the most focused and hard working drivers on the grid, a super hungry guy, and i absolutely believe he can beat mx under equal circunstances.

While it may still be fake, the Toto in each pic are definitely not from the same photo. There are similarities like clothing, but they are 100% not from the same image.
