Yeah, another data point... Both Purosangue and 296VS start at 360K GBP in the UK. Puro is $460K in the US, so... likely similar.
are you guys comparing apples to apples? 360 in the UK with VAT, 300 with no VAT. etc. I was using BASE prices with no taxes/ vats etc. All my math was based on BASE prices, not on the road prices. Also, I was using Pounds and Dollars. What is the exchange rate for the middle east vs UK and US?
I bet if you do the math, factor in exchange rates, use on base prices that you will find the cost of the car is the same globally. taxes are what causes the huge fluctuations in prices.
this is kind-a bonkers. AI did this for me...."What countries charge the most in taxes (and tax adjacent crap) on new car purchases. VAT, Luxury..whatever they call it. AI used a Ferrari 296 GTB as the base line example. Note: this isnt perfect, the US Tariffs are temporarily higher now and will most likely be adjusted down soon..none the less, Ferrari is paying the tariff. Top 10 Most Taxed Countries (Approx. Countries like Denmark and Ireland impose extremely steep taxes, making high-end supercars multiple times more expensive. In contrast, the US, with low import duties and state sales tax, remains one of the most affordable markets.
Yikes, yeah the price increases are getting to be insanity. So you're speccing a 296 Speciale, that will land in the $500's where Pista Coupe's are sitting today Puro starts at $428k in the US, 12 Cilindri Coupe starts at $460k in the US.
Puro at 428 is the most egregious. I understand it's a V12 (and the only V12 exotic SUV), but I never understood the appeal of the exotic SUV market, especially at those cargo sizes. That's a problem with me, perhaps. However, it seems Ferrari at one point was using the Puro to sell other cars so maybe others see it the same way I do as well.
At Goodwood FoS: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login For what it's worth. The more I see the 296GTB the more I like it and I think some elegance was lost with the speciale, specifically where the side winglets jut out of the rear fender (from a front-side view). Nevertheless overall I prefer the looks of the speciale. It's just not a home run like the Pista which I think looks better than the 488GTB in every way.
To put all the guessing to bed, my dealer (USA) reached out and said that base price for the coupe is $470,364.
Add 5-10% tariff - 295 Spider drop 100k - value it at 425k VS tariff min 500k add 100k options 600k - is 175k and 296 Spider - worth VS Coupe If Spider was down 50k no tariff - no brainer but 200k over 296GTS .... hmmm
I think the 470K number includes any future tariffs from what I heard and that’s why they waited so long to release pricing in the US. I could be wrong…
Yes, and $540k for the spider. Also, options pricing is now out. I was at the dealership today picking ups the 296 GTB and found out. The GTB is fun enough, can't imagine the Speciale. TM scheduled for the 24th.
one learns early in the F game that the dealers are usually the last to know. Did they show you the ordering guide with pricing? We are getting an early car at our dealer and they told me about an hour ago that no pricing has been released. When they do have such info (prior Ferrari orders) they always send me screen shots....
Two dealers - 100% is not included and add estimate 5-10% tariff of retail Dealer holds information - things get pushed out when they are allowed to be pushed out. Early on, Ferrari wrote a letter SF90 296 family would receive no tariffs - perhaps XX will not have a tariff. I think a lot has t do with when they produce a new price and how to address tariffs - obviously there is no guarantee - today. GT3RS is due in before Aug1 and Porsche added 3.5% tariff - was told Porsche ate a chunk but going forward they will not. This is not an if but when. Good news if VS takes 3 years like XX cough) tariffs may not be around.
do you have proof? If that is the actual price, I am on the side of YIKES! that said.... I assume you have no screen shots, no validation other than what a dealer rep who was selling you a non VS 296 told you etc?
