    Will Hamilton's star power initiate the efforts to create a financial level playing field in F1?
    He can sell tshirts.....better than anybody. Does that deserve special compensation? Enzo's time has long passed. All hail the King of F1!!
    Times change, Sir LouLou is King.
    <Sarcasm.....but maybe true >

    The best DO rise to the top in F1. Then the question is: can they STAY there? (see Fernando Alonso)

    Not really. He's 43 and, like Lewis, 40+ year olds aren't winning GP's, much less WDC's.
    Unless you're counting on Newey producing some other worldly car for next year. But Alonso will be ANOTHER year older then.

    "In their prime" is really what I was referring to (Alonso). "In his prime", he didn't stay on top because he so pissed off every team he drove for.

    Like I said, to be continued. Alonso has a better chance with Newey than Hamilton has with Ferrari.

    Frankly I’m surprised that he’s only 28 points behind LEC.

    The Ferrari tends to sit between the competitive cars and the midfield. So, as we've seen, Lewis can be quite a bit slower than Charles and only lose out on a few points.

    Not just yet but anything is possible. I see LH leaving after 2026. If he does not with the title this year and Oscar does he will be looking elsewhere.

    Love it. All the drivers dna from last almost 20 years didn't bring a championship. What do they have to lose.

    I am hoping he gets replaced by Verstappen. Hamilton should go back to Mercedes or retire.

    Another perfect nonsensical statement from His Lewisness.

    If the car is successful, he'll claim it's because of his influence.

    If the car is a POS, he'll claim because the engineers don't listen to him. It's a win/win statement from him, so long he comes out unscathed.

    If the car is good. Haters will say its because because of an engineering breakthrough. If the car is bad, haters will say Sir Lewis Hamilton has no development skills. The haters already have their alibi thought out 2-3 years ahead.
