I am helping my friend to sell this car. I personally know this car for 15+ years and it's been well-cared for. 1996 F355 gated stick-shift in a beautiful Swatters Blue exterior, with a blue spider top, on a tan interior. Challenge grill installed. Exterior is very good to excellent (not mint). No dings, no dents, no scratches. Paint is in very good shape and shiny. Interior is very good with some wear on the driver seat. Clean carpet, no holes in leather, no shrinking dash, no curling airbag cover, no sticky bits. It has 45,xxx miles and, before you ask, the engine out service was just done last week. Timing belts are new, cam timing performed to specs. At the service, brand new Tubi headers were installed, attached to a Tubi muffler for that wonderful F1 deep throated sound. No CEL, no SDL, no ABS light, everything works. The spider top goes up and down, with its forks engaging in the right places. The car's title is clear, in hand, currently registered in Florida. The car is presently with me in California for its recently completed engine out service. Two fobs, two keys, full documentation, two car covers as well as seat covers, complete tool kit, all manuals. Compression test done in June 2025: Cyl1-Cyl8: 190/190/190/190/180/200/195/205 Asking price: $97,000. Pictures below. Love that color - if you don't mind, can you post the VIN? Also, were the valve guides done at some point? Any issues or maintenance on the suspension - either the electronic shock actuators, control arm/suspension bushings, etc? Thanks, Darren
Very nice. Where in CA? Might I ask why spend all this money on maintenance (and to ship from FL-CA) just to sell it right after?
Valve guides were not needed on this car. No suspension issues with shock actuators, or bushings. I will PM you the VIN on the car.
The car is right now in the Bay Area. The engine out service was done to eliminate all questions about timing belts, engine out service, maintenance issues and to put aside all worries for the next owner.
I should add more description to the compression test results. 1. Done on cold engine 2. Throttle is not depressed 3. Each cyl was subjected to six (6) compression strokes
And for those that enjoy it, feast your eyes on the lovely Tubi headers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
i'm no 355 expert, but with those colors, the stick shift, the engine out.....it seems beyond reasonably priced....
I parked it (just like that first picture) in front of Peet's Coffee and went in for a coffee. I sat down inside and enjoyed a coffee while looking over the car. In a span of 30 minutes, there must have been a dozen groups of people doing double takes, walking around it, pointing at it, take pictures of it, and generally enjoying one of the prettiest Ferrari in person.
no kidding, i was just thinking that too. seems like these frequently come up at about that price but in imminent need of the service.
