My longer deeper tone trumpet emits a two pitch sound like a hee haw....a higher sound, and then a deeper one. Not sure what might be wrong? A leak in the housing?

Does anyone know if the current replacement horns are metal or plastic?

Testing confirms compressor and high tone/shorter horn are perfect and there is no
way to repair the bad horn

Would like to know if the new replacements are the same sound/tone
and if they are metal or plastic.

Looks like the same part number is for 328, 348,355, and 550 cars so should not
be a problem finding something used

Anyone out there have one or a set for sale?

I had my shop somewhat recently replace the poor aftermarket horn that came with the 348 with a new Fiamm unit. It is much quieter and less “brassy” than the horn that is in my F355 which I believe is original. Somehow they're different, probably new ones cheaply made in China or something.

^^^Agreed, I think the difference is new horns are plastic, while the originals are metal.

Ross @GTCarParts was able to supply me with a good used horn
and the sounds are glorious once more. Thanks Ross.

It's times like this when I'm happy I have an F355 Challenge. The original horn was removed years ago because the steering wheel had to have a quick-release hub rendering a horn button inoperative.

To keep my car street legal, I had to install a horn. I chose a reproduction 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner horn...

As my electric door locks were removed, I have the horn wired to the passenger side momentary door lock switch...
