Wait, "the value will skyrocket", according to "Gentleman's garage" (probably a "VIP" who wants to secure his status with Ferrari...)
Meanwhile in Germany, an official Ferrari dealer is proposing a 296 GTB AF at 250K EUR ($292K) - it has 24,000 miles though. https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=410027516&dam=false&isSearchRequest=true&ms=8600%3B51%3B%3B&od=up&ref=srp&refId=f0eb3fc7-9a0b-3b89-d650-8e767ad56d25&s=Car&sb=p&searchId=f0eb3fc7-9a0b-3b89-d650-8e767ad56d25&vc=Car
ya. most owners aren't stupid the market doesn't reflect the value of this car. hold onto your cars boys. drive the number on sale down and demand will go up. never give it up on the first date.
That's not so - dealer offered me a fairly good number. 515 msrp - if I consign it thy would need to get 465 ish to hit my drop it off price. They have very little inventory.
I’m finally get windshield film on my car this week and then I’ll really start racking up miles. I love it.
interesting to see what happen when replacement of 296 will be released and will have same electric turbos as F80
296M may be the GOAT. Depends on styling and if they amp the engagement factor like the Speciale. But if history is any indication we’ll get over 900 hp. Considering the 296 is my favorite driving Ferrari ever (despite whatever one may feel about the specialness of V12’s or NA engines), I’d imagine this will only improve with the Speciale and following M.
Totally agree. X factor will be what they charge for it. As many here have noted the 296 will likely be a steal in hindsight!
Are you sure that those who took a cold shower with the endless depreciation of the 296 want to take a second one ?
I think many 296 buyers are new customers to Ferrari and I think Ferrari will have not problem in the future to sell over 10k cars per year
I am one of the new customers, but I have just bought a 296 second-hand. I think the car is currently very good value for money. Hopefully it will be in my garage in a few days.
Is there any thread here for tracking deals on 296 GTBs? Recently I've come to see cars dipping below $300k USD and it has started to peak my interest! If they drop a little more I might jump on it. Kind of insane that 296s are starting to get cheaper than some 992 GT3s and Turbo Ss.
Congrats!!!! . Do you mind sharing any details about your deal? I agree I have a GT3T and am strongly considering swapping into a 296 at these prices. It is supposed to be this thread that the sharing is happens on but its tough in forums
I owned both, in fact I sold my 22 GT3 6 Speed to get my 296 GTS, although the 296 was much faster, I personally never quite gelled with the Car. The 296 is a fantastic car with great performance. I ended up buying another GT3 Touring 6 Speed which I think on the street is the perfect balance of Horsepower, visceral feel and connection. Although the 296 was much faster, it was almost too fast for the street. Just my 2 cents.
GT3T is cool, but there's not enough Touring in there for me...i want comfort access, surround view cameras, heads up displays, blind spot monitors, interior color other than black...etc...lol. I think the 296 seems like the best option for supercar that you could drive around comfortably every day. But I do understand the appeal of hanging on to the last NA 6MT cars left!
In my opinion, the pricing of 296gtb looks like very good opportunity for many potential buyers, I think it deserves it's money completely in terms of design, emotion and performance ( price range 300k) I can't say the same about the competitor Temerario, which with a few options more + carbon package Allegerita and controversial design comes close to a half million It makes no sense
To be fair, it's likely that 2-3 years from now Temerario might be in the same place as 296 depreciation wise
Yes,many orders are being canceled right now, this is a very bad indicator for a new model (especially when it comes from a brand like Lamborghini ,not Mercedes or BMW which are in massive production cycle)
let's hope this boycott force Lambo to bring back NA engine in fact they change some plans already, next gen AUDI R8 was planned to be full electric, now it will probably hybrid ....
