Does anyone know if SCUD carbon airboxes fit an F430. Having done a little research, its unclear, talk of them being 2mm wider in diameter which could affect airflow and something about horns?

It also alludes to the SCUD boxes being taller, and might not fit under the spider lid, yet the SCUD and 16m carbon air boxes are the same part numbers?

Anyone tried, found out or know?

    Thanks in advance.

The inlets are approx 5mm larger and they are taller. The 16M has a unique engine bay lid.

I did fit a set to my first F430: I cut the flanges from the Scuderia lids to leave the round pipe, I then cut the flanges from the original lids leaving approx 1" of tube and then epoxied them inside the carbon lids. It was possible to achieve a near OEM look. I bent the airbox mounting tabs to lower the whole assembly in the engine bay. It worked - just.

Wow, I know you are good at that stuff, not sure I would be so confident and given the cost of the SCUD carbon air box covers, even more so!

Can I asked why you did not keep them on?
