will a much higher MSRP and unique configured 296 hold its value better than a run of the mill 296
No. We have a used top spec 296 at our dealer AF pack, carbon wheels, matte paint, AF painted stripe, every single carbon option inside and out, carbon seats + harness. I think it's a $550K spec. No one is even interested to buy at $400K.
My guess is that the higher MSRP will sell for a higher price, but that does not mean it lost less money. Actually, there are a few options that make sale easier (so that a bare car would be difficult to sell) but that's not leading to a high MSRP.
You either love or hate AF , the colour of the car is also very personal , this can drive saleability.
Actually seeing a trend where higher msrp cars are losing more money on first sale and seller isn’t getting his option money back. Once it takes the initial big hit I believe the second owner will be better insulated.
. i agree totally… these cars have somewhat put on the brakes … been following the market for about five weeks now intensively and I’ve seen a lot less depreciation. That’s why I just purchased one which I’ll get next week. Take advantage of this amazing opportunity
Won't change it much, and certainly nowhere near the cost. More desirable to some, but not at any serious premium.
