when you say shipping out customer seats in 2 weeks, do you mean to us or to Zanasi for upholstering?

Yes, I meant to the customers! :D

Your pair should be ready to ship in about two weeks. You’ll receive a tracking number once they’re out the door. I really hope they’ll be worth the wait, we’re putting everything into making them perfect.

    Quick update from the shop:

First seat has now been successfully test-assembled with foam, matching the original seat structure in geometry, feel and fit.

Carbon shells are completed and prepped for paint, tooling has delivered consistent results across the batch.

Foam shaping is finalized, ready for trimming and upholstery.

All mechanical parts (hinges, rails, tilt system) have been completed and test-fitted to spec.

This setup will now serve as the permanent base for all future Ferrari 355 seat reproductions, combining OEM-correct ergonomics, mechanical function, and lightweight construction.

Update on CarbonSeats.com Ferrari 355 Carbon Seat Reproductions

Just wanted to share a quick production update. We’ve completed clear-coating on the first batch of carbon shells and I’m incredibly happy with the quality and surface clarity.

These are full reproduction shells for the F355 with OEM-correct carbon weave and geometry, faithfully recreated from original factory seats. All parts will be upholstered to order with custom leather/Alcantara options, using period-correct hides and stitching.

Here are some photos and a short video of the recent progress:

We’re now ramping up production for early customers and plan to open general availability in Q3.

Feel free to DM me if you want to reserve a pair – these will be limited and built to order only.

    So bratty and entitled? Really?

There have been numerous concerns from other members who dropped $15k+ for seats that were advertised with a 30-40 day turnaround time. It's been 4x that with loose expected ship dates.

Are there any photos of an actual completed seat at this point? Or any members here who have actually received a seat ?

Nope. Still waiting. "Yours will go out soon!" Not a single pic of a complete seat

They look amazing thus far. I'm just annoyed at the never-ending delay in shipping a product that was advertised as 30-40 days of production. Would hate to sound bratty and entitled to want the product many of us paid for in advance for and none of us have had delivery of.

If I understand the news correctly, ATM we'd be paying a 25% tariff currently in the US with a threat of an increase to 30% starting Aug. 1st. But apparently a deal was just reached to lower them to 15% so maybe the delay saved us 10%.

Currently it would 25% for "Imported Auto Parts" + 10% for "Reciprocal EU" tariff + normal duty based on HTS code = approximately 37.5%.

I would wait to see what the details of the new EU trade agreement are, there just isn't enough information to go on yet. Auto parts may still get a stacked tariff (15% + 15%) it remains to be seen.
