I bought. A 612 a few months back. Second one for me, my first ferrari was an Avorio 612. after that car I had two FF’s, now finding myself back in a 612
After seeing what a few folks have done with the 599 MAF & intake boxes I decided to go that route

At this point I’ve collected all the parts, install to start soon

I also wanted to upgrade the audio, so I’ve assembled all of those parts as well

I also decided to go the route of Fabio’s exhaust system. Fortunately for me, he had a system on the ground in Vegas from SEMA.

Now the work of getting everything installed. I’m not going to attempt any of this myself, I’ll leave that to professionals

Will there be check engine light after installing 599 MAF?

Or just plug and play, no need for ecu tune?

Haven't done the install yet, but from what others have said who have gone down the path, no.

You definitely need the ECU tuned. Pinging @sammyf @360trev . The 612 map was done for the restricted MAF, going to the 599 MAF will cause fuel/air mixture to be off.

I had my ECU tuned and upgraded to the 599 MAF. 100% worth it.

@vegasviper awesome build! I will some day pull the trigger on the exhaust, jealous!

360trev has connected me with one of his folks, I just haven't pulled the trigger on the install yet.

Headers and down pipes are out to be wrapped, I'll do the exhaust and mat's at one time.

After a long and mostly self inflicted delay, the install of all the parts is complete.

The car is a lot different now, in a good way. There is more power, the throttle response is better all the way around. The combination of the 599 MAF/airboxes and the Fabio exhaust is a very worthwhile one in my opinion.

I've had Kline inconel exhausts on both my FF's, and those were glorious sounding. The Fabio race setup rivals the sounds of the FF's. It sets off car alarms in my parking garage at work, lol.

I was think of doing a 6 speed conversion, but I held off to see how the car felt after. I think I'll keep the car as is.

Thanks to everyone who helped along the way @360trev @brogenville (generously sent a parts list) @SoftwareDrone for all of the audio and @bb2thdr for the audio install. @TAGMotorsports for the wheels & tires.

I'll get a video of the exhaust here soon.

The only thing I'm looking to change the front ride height. Anyone have thoughts on how to do this? The back sits perfect with the HRE's now.

Also interested by pictures of the audio part.
I have also the double DIN Bose (OTO also), and don’t know if it’s just a switch from the old one to the new one, or if additional parts are necessary, especially a cap around the new unit.
    Thank you.

All of the audio stuff I did can't be seen.

I have a head unit, elected not to install is. Now regretting that decision and will have to open the car back up.

I am doing the same mods to my '05 612. Minutes ago I was out there in my one-car garage finishing up the install of the Fiammenghi headers. I want to share that, whatever your shop charged you for this work, it was worth every penny. There is no room to spare in this car's engine bay. On the driver side I had to pull the steering column all the way into the passenger compartment to get the necessary clearance for the header and its secondary air injection trees. On the passenger side there are two pipes leading to and from the heater core, and a third pipe for the secondary air injection system, that I had to decouple and move out of the way. Then I discovered that a kind of tolerance stack made it impossible to slide the driver side flange onto the 12 studs in one go. So I removed all 12, and replaced them with an aftermarket set. I screwed these in one at a time, holding the flange in place against the cylinder head. After all the struggles entailed with threading 12 studs into the head with the six header primaries in the way, when I did the passenger side I threaded in the studs for four of the six exhaust ports and found that I could wiggle the header flange into place with these eight studs installed. This left only four studs to thread in with the header in the way. But with all 24 nuts I had to work around the header primaries, an equally challenging task. The point being, the installation of these headers was a time-consuming, painstaking job, and I would be surprised if your mechanic did not go way over the "book" labor rate.

Just for fun, here is the present condition of my headers, which I share because with the induction ducts in place you do not have such an unobstructed view of Fabio's work:

I have installed the O2 sensors and the little brass tips on the secondary air trees, which you have to transfer over from your OE headers. I've also reinstalled the spark plug wires, coils, and boots, which also had to come off to make room.

@180 Out Thanks for posting the pictures. I changed the exhaust on my previous 612 myself. From that experience I learned I'd rather pay someone to do it!

Good luck, seems like you're mostly done
