a low mileage 458 is £150k here, a low mileage 458 spec is £350k here
    a low mileage 458 spider is £160k , an aperta £740k

it's all about rarity I think and people will hold on to the 296 special editions on the presumption that they are going to be worth over double the standard cars as we've already seen happen with the 458

Try facilitating your "haptic touch" whilst wearing gloves on a cold morning. You'll quickly learn "laziness" has nothing to do with it!

if you wear gloves when you drive on the road you better have a wood steering wheel

At best.....IMO.....the 296 Speciale will hold its value. These cars are fully priced (and then some).

Yea true..that is the question...i only meant that historically though it has worked out for Ferrari buyers...even the Pista is trading well over it's original asking price

one option that I have not seen except the car that I just purchased is a dream delivery, which is a red paint all around the edge of the lower section of car. I also have the strike which is parted in the middle on top of the car, but that’s common. That’s just an example that I can think of

I agree, especially in America with the tarrifs etc, can't see the 296 spec being worth another couple of hundred thousand over RRP

Pistas are selling for right around MSRP, the convertibles are getting more. I might get another so I have been looking.

Yes correct. I did say on the road. That I get because you are driving close to the edge and need the grip. Street driving not so much. The guy was making a big deal out of not being able to operate haptics because he wears gloves inside his car on a cold day and apparently wants to toggle with the display setting.

you might want to wear gloves if you have an alcantara steering wheel, the oils from your hands can make the alcantara pretty ratty after a while

8.5% of MSRP likely covers a very significant portion of the 25% tariff, which is charged on the import price, not the sticker price.

I would expect the "tariff contribution" to fall or at worst stay the same if the tariff rate comes down.

    We'll see.

Also true the other way around, how many people will pay $900k for a Speciale Aperta if you can buy a GTS for $350k?

Real men don’t wear gloves (or drive their cars when it’s that cold).

“That’s the neat part, you don’t”.

Most people do not ever realize these “profits” on the special car because (1) they want to stay on “the list” to get the next special car and/or (2) the special car is the best version, so isn’t that the one you want to keep and drive?? It’s the perfect biz model as long as you manage it such that the losses are not so painful that people want to stop playing the game….

Coincidentally, Larry from Ammo just released a short video about how to clean alcantara and get the fibers to stand up again.

You could make the argument for 458 Spider v 458 Speciale Aperta. It’s quite a spread.

Look at Pista Piloti vs Pista Coupe. What’s the difference? 599 GTB v GTO… We could go on….

Is it worth it? The collectors are saying yes.

Pista Spiders are now collectibles. The inventory in the US is gone. What a gorgeous car.
