    Evening,

Any recommendations for someone who can replace the soft top on a 360/430?

FOH and HS Motor Sports cannot.

    Regards.

Cannot vouch for work but have seen mentioned on porsche lone star facebook forum for upholstery work in Houston. Recently shows a newer 911 convertible top replaced on the Facebook page

Michael Angelo's did some work on my top to fix another shop's screw up. They do top work for the Ferrari Dealership also. He also upholstered some seats I purchased in Alcantera. All excellent work. Would highly recommend.

FOH did in fact refer me to Michael Angelo's shop. He quoted me $7500. The top itself if I buy it is ~ $3000, so $4500 to install it (~ 10 hrs work...I had my 360 top replaced, and labor was $1050 in Florida) seems very excessive. He said he'd have to replace the elastic...even though it would be brand new, and also the head liner...mine is perfect. I'll give him another call to see if I heard him correctly.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

How long ago was FL work done? As I’m sure you may have seen items have doubled or more in price just in last three to four years, including labor.

anxious to see how it works out - keep us posted

    Morning,

FL work was done ~ 18 months ago on my 360 that I ultimately lost to a lady called Helene. As an aside, we got 2 hurricanes directly over the top of the house in 11 days.

Called Michael Angelo’s again and without headliner, elastic replacement and with me supplying the top was $1500 + tax. He mentioned that there would be no warranty without elastic replacement which doesn’t worry me…they seem to last 15 – 20 years. Doesn’t bother me…I’m 76!

    Thanks for all the feedback.

It is not a difficult canvas to replace. 7500? Really?
