Not 100% confirmed but when Derek.Photography spotted Sainz 812 Competizione during factory test drive and posted picture on Instagram, someone in coment wrote that he saw car at production line and used it as inspiration for his client car and about color wrote that it is Grigio Ferro Opaco. So I expect that same will for his SP3 and also SF90XX. Its not 100% coonfirmed only wrote what read :) Here is the link, if want read coments https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl_ER05qHLU/?igsh=aXJtMnJ0b2EzdHgy

Thank you for the details and link. It would seem a knowledgeable photographer on hand has the best chance of coming up with a correct paint name. The background story is a very useful confirmation to.
For a company that does so much work in secrecy the test drive is a valuable window into their product details!

That should end soon enough, sadly. I'm sure others on here saw the recent stories of @iliasabawi, where he talked about Ferrari's new test track which is currently under construction. Apparently there'll be walls shielding the outside viewpoints that would allow for spy photographies as well. Will be strange to have no posts of mules or test drives

    I don't know.
Wouldn't that go against everything Ferrari does on a daily basis - the spotters are in the know because Ferrari wants them in the know. The spotters know a lot - I use one to help me spec my cars as he has tons more information- add access to TM at the factory.
The mules camo etc stir the pot at no cost - they love to have "PR" at no charge.
Heck they use owners cars / slap ion some blue tape which we all HATE showing them off around the town. The patents tell the story way before the cars are produced - track time is for the press they know on the SIM the exact times and performance before the car is capable of before it hits the asphalt.

Yes the thirst for information on new Ferrari models has been going on for many decades. This example below, the 'new' Ferrari 365 GTB/4 is captured ironically at a race track during it's development in November 1967. No covers or tape to hide the design in those day. Although the front is disguised in the sense that the front end is not the production version but rather the old 275 version! This front end disguise was also used for the earlier chassis 10287 to.
Free publicity as a parade of fresh new Ferrari models parade before the camera rain or shine today.
First view at the track in profile and the second picture inside the Ferrari factory were the disguised 275 front end design is clearly visible.

    The thrill of victory!

And the agony of not seeing new models due to a tragically high wall….

Surely, Ferrari has developed V-12/hybrid drones capable of shooting down those from pesky onlookers. It’s a logical step considering eventually conventional cars will be banned and they’ll forced into the flying cars business. These Tailor Made specs are gonna be fun to see…

Thank you for that tribute detail regarding #68 here!
That 599 shape from Pininfarina continues to age well. Not a shape that has to be 'sold' to the client to accept...
