I was going to do Sand Silver with Maranello stripes, but went with a tricolore stripe. Considering it for 296SA!

Silver Sand was a popular Rolls-Royce paint color especially on the Corniche. Freudian slip?
Sanusilver is the rocking color of the day!!!:)

Ferrari’s micro production numbers make it easy to hit sales numbers even without the US market.

So if the end of ICE does happen, then Ferrari will bravely soldier on making what the green regulators dictate.

Self driving mode might also be available

I question even if the 12C is the last 12 cylinder Ferrari, will it be the most desirable. Seems people love the way the 12C drives but most still gravitate towards the 812 and many prefer the rawness of the 812’s drive as well.

LOL like pretty much everyone on this message board. Every Ferrari dealer I speak to says the response is tepid at best despite the allocations being taken. I’d be happy to bet the 12C goes the way of the SF90 and 296 whereas the 812 has been holding strong for years.

For now, no V12 development is underway, except for a few modifications of the future Competizione version...

Hope but highly doubt that'll change. Guess we'll find out at Capital Markets day in October, but I'm not too optimistic.

I hope they will be able to achieve their goal of finishing at 10,000 RPM, that would be a nice tribute to this engine which will see the light of day one last time in SP5. By around 2030, there should only be hybrid V6 and V8 TT left... what a sadness....

I am not saying that I don't acknowledge your opinion or pretend that a number of people don't share it ... what I am saying is that not everyone who has an opinion has had a chance to see the car on the road, drive it, experience it etc. We all agree the looks are a departure from what we were used to, but customer deliveries have only just started these last few months ... I am sure that with time, in the 1-2 year mark when more and more owners who took delivery will be active with content (on this forum and other places) the opinions will shift ... there is always a slight bias. Right now 12c owners are outnumbered by 812 owners ... so the content has a natural bias towards that.

I still have hope that this will change soon.
But don't you think that after about 5 years of the 12C, there could be a "12C Modificata" for another 4-5 years, with almost the same engine tune as the 12C VS?

Seems like there were quite a few who disdained the 812 and much preferred the F12. Anyhow, I think all three are fantastic - each with their own beauties and idiosyncrasies.

It’s all subjective with respect to looks and whether one likes a more refined or rawer V12. Simply speculating that there is a chance this plays out the way the F8/296 seems to be playing out. Seems the F8 is holding its value stronger than the 296. Only time will tell here….

We all become attached to things we own. We learn the good and the bad, the idiosyncrasies and the heavenly. I agree as more 12Cs get to their owners we will hear more about the highs and lows of the cars on this forum and the car will develop a following (even the Mondial has its supporters )
IMHO the car will be known for its refined power delivery and performance envelope but not for the “rawness” of its predecessors. That seems to be the path Ferrari has chosen for itself(see the threads on 360-430-458-488-F8 history)
A loss for the “long time customer “ but a still gain for the new customer use to EVs, hybrids, turbos and “smoothness”

Ferrari filed a trademark for the name 849 Testarossa.
With that name and number, it has to be a V12.
It doesn't sound like an Icona, as Iconas never have numbers other than "SP."

We will eventually see where the EU with their Net Zero stuff goes. Tarriffs are a issue too. I have a 12 Spyder on order and my Palm Beach guys say it is not the last of something else to come.
Oh well I get some interesting offers for my place in line in the mean time. Ferrari places a 1 year lean on new cars to protect them from someone flipping a car early on a higher value assumed price .Their contract says they have the right to purchase at "Market Value" the vehicle if I try to sell earlier before the 1 year period ha expired. Looks like a good investment to me. Bummer is delivery is 2-3 years out but I have driven one and it is worth the wait. Outstanding car. So refined.
    Can't wait. Nothing to loose.

I was an anti 12c guy until I saw the 12C a few times. Now I flip flopped and love it. I was just at a dealer and saw them side by side and decided not to buy a 812 GTS and wait for my 12C to come in. I was hunting for the right spec 812 GTS to buy and drive till the 12C came in but after last week and seeing them side by side the 12C looks updated so much it makes the 812 look stale and old. The stance, sleek look and perceived height on the 12C has officially grown on me. So much I dont want the 812 anymore.

Another thing I can to realize in a 3 week rabbit hole looking at other Ferraris to buy while I wait for my 12C. So many of them look alike with little differences. SF90, 296, F8, 488 etc. Take a quick glance and hard to tell them apart. Go to the Naples Cars on Fifth and there will be a hundred Ferraris there and after seeing a dozen or so you are not stimulated by seeing another dozen. The design of the 12C is unique and bold. Change… and it is good. Good for the brand IMO and better for me.

If I was to buy something to tie me over for 18 months till the 12C comes in, 488 Pista or a bad ask 812 and have it lowered since I think the stance is to high. 12C stance is better.
