Thank you…do you know with the intake being inside the cabin in 4RS result in a sound compared to SRS?

It is also loud in the 4rs but seems a bit louder in the srs to me.

For those that have installed over axle pipes and are in CA, does that mess with emissions testing?

I dont know the answer but the JCRs I installed have cats but less restrictive. Perhaps their website states whether they are compliant.

Very different. Both cars have exactly the same drivetrain, but the 4RS airbox and engine is literally in the cabin with you, while the SRS airbox and engine are not. The 4RS is an echo chamber. Really loud, with occasionally unpleasant resonance frequencies. The Spyder RS is quite different. The intakes are still next to your ears and its not quiet. But the SRS sounds amazing while not being headache inducing like a GT4RS.

A GT4RS would be a blast on a track, but I'd otherwise not want to drive it. A Spyder RS is a blast on backroads, warm weather events,....and the track. You just have to deal with the top, which isn't really that hard.

The top was overblown as an issue just for clicks. Literally took one time and a few minutes. Easy.

Agree the top is a non issue. Plus I quite enjoy driving with the bimini only and the windows down. You don't get baked on very sunny days, but still can really take in the sounds, sights, and smells all around you.

BTW, a few guys have posted that they parked their SRS outside with just the bimini installed, not the weather protector, and their cars sat in significant rainstorms with minimal water in the cabin.

Personally, I always leave the weather protector in my garage unless I plan to stay overnight or park for many hours somewhere. Besides those situations and washes, the weather protector is never installed on my Spyder RS.
