f80 ones are carbon spokes on a polished metal drum/outer so a different finish to the speciale which is gloss black painted spokes on the same polished metal outer - no carbon on that design.

In my state you need to buy two motorized items and sell two to get a dealers license - it's a one day course and you avoid ALL taxes.
You need a place of business copier few parking spaces permit and insurance - there are many guys that do this and never take title to the car for taxes.
The dealer license gives you two plates - you can place them on any car. I did it for a few years and got tired of it but many live by it. Additionally when you sell a car you use the sale price against the new car you purchased - basically washing sales tax - you only need to pay it one time. Again states vary and have limits etc some you have to buy and sell at the same time which dealers in Florida love!

No, that’s not correct. F80 wheel is all carbon - only option. The silver element is paint over carbon.

Fair is subjective. In the US you pay the state sales tax or "road fee", the rates generally range from 4% to 7% or more. Where some states get you is that they will charge you a recurring tax every year, i.e. Virginia. Also, in some states (not Virginia) you get sales tax credit when you trade and only taxed on the net difference. Now, we have the tariff as well. The sticker on my Purosangue shows an additional $27,722 but I cant figure out what this is based off. The base price is $423,636 or roughly 6.5%. All of the rates being quoted in this thread are not accurate based on what I am seeing on the sticker.

Right. With that said, I cant figure out what the tariff rate is on the car and what its based off.

Up thread @NGooding said that the tariff is based on the import price, not MSRP, so there might not be any way to find out if the dealer doesn't have those details. That said, I would think those kind of details would be in the documents sent from FNA sent to the dealer, so I would ask if you haven't already.

203 pages and not one driving review - think it's fair to say, that horse left the barn 190 pages ago,
An active thread with tariffs are open discussion - which are a year plus away VS, it's a fair question.

Personally debating VS / Ferrari if they can't be more open towards the tariffs.
MY Porsche just hit the port - 3.5% tariff Ford GM losing an estimated 6B is eating all tariffs thru the year. I have no problem fighting for a GT2RS and next gen 918 vs pay the US gov't on a product a company wants to sell to US customers. my .02 at least today Shop rates 285.00 per hour a battery change was 1290.00 It's not the money it's the idea of giving away money and receiving nothing in return. Very few owners buyers are here - but I assure you people will not like seeing a tariff charge just like Amazon was told to remove that from their website.

Never said or implied it wasn't a fair question, as this has been a topic for several pages. The comment I responded to was "All of the rates being quoted in this thread are not accurate based on what I am seeing on the sticker." The rates are going to be different for different vehicles, this has been well established. Therefore, the tariff discussion for VS will not line up for a Puro sticker.

    This post may help.

I don't know how that squares with these numbers. Does it say "Tariff Contribution"?

I know people who have asked when purchasing 12Ci and Puro - a dollar number that was all they got.
FNA imo has cut w deal - Porsche has been holding cars at the factory, maybe now they will release them - maybe.
Remember the guy who wrote the tariff bill exempt older cars and parts - so happens he is also be a big collector of older imports.
Transparency is a fair ask - it's not like other options on my window saying 127,000.
Someone should have to share - my guess is it includes a double dip of taxes / profit / price increase. Sadly it's not even agreed on so nothing is in stone. Jet is 100% write off and an exotic receives luxury tax by country - insanity.

Yeah, we have no idea what's behind the number. It is going to be part of my negotiation, I will let the dealer figure it out with FNA or they can keep it.

I wonder if the "contribution" rate is lower for the Purosangue. See what it is as a percent of the MSRP with the options but nothing else (i.e., before the $5,000(?) fee for Delivery, Process, Prep & Handling and $2,600(?) in Additional Costs). I bet it's a round number...

Note that this is a surcharge of Ferrari's choosing. It likely bears little resemblance to the tariff paid by FNA

That must be where they set it for the Puro. 8.5% has been confirmed for Speciale and 12C, but that was before yesterday's announcement, however. Hopefully it comes down commensurately.

To the community of 296 owners: do you have a clear preference on normal shields versus airbrushed shields for the 296VS? The space is limited, which speaks for normal shields but then airbrushed look great. Any experiences or views much appreciated

From what I understand - Porsche 1/3 1/3 1/3 - factory dealer customer - I am sure you knew that.
Ferrari 100% - 0% depending on model. Ferrari appears very nervous about transparency.
The published letter was no tariff on 296 SF90 family of cars - now the VS and XX are orphans
Good luck. Ferrari FNA and dealers - all on the same page and at their size / customer base they can control this with ease. That's why they halted electric - out of their league.

On principle I won’t pay tariffs to a company making such high margins. I am out I guess for new Ferraris. Guess I’ll buy a used VS.

If ordered, maybe they will move the painted shields to the door as they did on the SF90XX.

I think a lot of people feel this way. Things have changed quite a bit for Ferrari and their dealers. They now over produce, over price and remove any exclusivity from buying except for certain cars which they play stupid games with.

This is ALSO not correct. With the diamond cut wheels, it is a matt black.
