Love me some Nico Rosberg as a commentator.

He rubs literally everyone the wrong way.

People are starved for authenticity in all aspects of life. I hope that in the age of AI they will demand it. Authenticity in every aspect of F1 is a commodity in very short supply.

    Nah.....waste of time.

Loved it when he got in Jos Verstappens face and called him out-->"Now you're quiet!"

    That was epic.

    More like:

Rosberg: "So Flavio, you were once banned from F1 and now your back." "Why were you banned from F1 to give our new F1 fans some history!"

    Or

Rosberg: "Lewis, what is the problem keeping up with your team-mate?" "Why are you having a bad year!"

I mean, Rosberg doesn't mince words and goes straight for the jugular.

This is the reason I turn off the TV by the time the winner crosses the finish line. I also don't watch the pre-race shows anymore: These interviews are just PR fluff-balls that are meaningless. No real information ever.

We need more James Hunt kinda drivers. Then again the corporate PR folks wouldn't let him anywhere near a microphone.

    Same here
F1 TV is on 5 minutes before race starts
F1 TV is OFF as soon as the cars cross the checkerd flag
Could not care less for commentators or interviews before or after the race, unless Nico is tormenting someone.

Personally I don't like a smart ass who is confrontational and choose his moment to provoke people.
I used to like Nico Rosberg as a driver, but not as a pundit.
Kudos to Verstappen for keeping his cool.

Particularly the yahoos from Sky TV are about the last persons I want to see or hear.

I like "Gordon Ramsey" and Brundle. The rest can go pound sand.

I watch some of the pre and post race when time permits. Nico is good. Heck most of the commentators I'm cool with.

I can't stand the nausiatingly nasal Niko. He quickly quit when he was ahead after his lucky World Championship. Time for him to go AWAY!!!!!!!!

Favorite line.... "He puts his finger on every wound with the precision of someone who knows exactly what he’s talking about – because he’s been there."

Being intentionally provocative and confrontational is ultimately self defeating as people will just stop talking to him. Perhaps in the same way he shunned the reporter who asked permission to quote him with, “I don’t do print now.” Sure, a tough, probing interview is one thing but making yourself the subject isn’t good. He’s refreshing now, but that kind of thing gets old, even to the viewer.

    Maybe he’s angling for a netflix gig…..

You can say whatever you want about Nicko but...he asks the questions we, the fans would like to ask, no doubt about it...
