Hi has anyone fitted a heated mesh seat kit inside QV leather seats , and if so what did they use and did they work well Cheers John
Blimey, I didn't think it was that cold even in the Peak District! Back down here in the Softy South, I've never had the heat on more than about half (GTBQV). I 've always wondered on what effect heat would have on old leather, but I 've not tried it.
I had some aftermarket seat heater mats installed in my F-150. They worked okay, not like the OEM heated seats in my Chevy equinox which get very warm. I don't think they put out enough heat to damage the leather, certainly no more than parking your car in the sun for an hour or two. Alden
Hi I love the feel on my old back and for me one of the very few good improvements to cars in recent decades
Moss Motors sells these https://mossmotors.com/903-251-dual-level-seat-heaters-bottom-and-back-for-single-seat?queryID=69f66799038addac71182600d37e71fd&objectID=353120&indexName=live_default_products I put these in my Scirocco when I recovered the seats (leather). They work pretty well but I really never use it.
I totally understand the sore muscles, but I think it would be more productive to get one of those products designed for sore muscle relief (Icy, hot) etc. And apply that before taking your QV out for a spin. Fraction of the cost and quite possibly better results.
When I had them installed in my F-150, on the driver seat I only, had them hook up the back panel only, not the seat portion, because I wanted the heat on my sometimes troublesome lower back! It worked very well since I spent a lot of time in my truck. Alden
2.75-5A at 14v for the Moss one. Not sure if I’d add that to original 3*8 wiring but with new wiring through an ignition controlled relay it should be ok.
