Word to the wise....It always pays to see the car in person and up on a lift...It can look like Pamela Anderson with makeup on and at 24 years of age in pictures, but when you get under the skirt at catch a glimpse of the floorpan...There is no substituting for mileage, wear and tear..

Oh and while you are up there.........see if tommy lee left his initials!!

I remember One of my testarossa's that I bought from Marshall goldman, With only 6,000 miles it looked so good in the hundreds of pics, had the engine out belts done by MG the week before, had a Perfect carfax....I could not find fault with it....IT was Perfect best in country looking car....I bought it sight unseen, and spent the next few months hyper detailing it myself...I entered it in The Americana Manhassett Concours where I was up against 39 other Ferrari's that day..
Yep, I won first place , I was very pleased to say the least...
After the Show, My friend Tom P, Owner of autosport design in Huntington told me he had a client to buy it...Wow, 1st place has perks...
Until..........He picked it up to show his client at autosport and they did some due diligence..
Even Though CARFAX reported no discrepancies, Autosport used another car data collection agency, forgot the name...
That report said that the Speedometer was replaced at 4,000 miles...and named the dealer.
That would imply that the car actually has at least 10,000 miles..if there was no lapse in repair..
WELL SHOCK ME WITH A TASER.......
Like I Said and Tom P taught me...Every Ferrari has a story..every single one.
NEVER buy a Ferrari without looking at it in person!, and lots of due diligence!

Always interesting to see a car listed as "the most expensive".........is that the new marketing strategy????

Mine has not. I have no desire to have a 22 year old turn my aluminum trim panels into lumpy wavy leather covered dead soft aluminum.
They work fine. Or at least as good as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation parts worked. The next guy can get it done.

Had to chuckle at your comment. I received a letter from FNA about 12 years ago on my 512tr wanting me to bring it to my dealer to have an update on my seat belts. And I thought the same thing you did. After the 3rd letter I called FNA to ask them to stop sending the letter and explained to them how old the car was and that many parts were not available anymore and I wouldn’t want someone to break something that wasn’t available any longer. She told me she would make a note of what I said and she reminded me that Ferrari was just following the rules about recalls. Told her I understood and thanked her; never got another letter.
I also disconnected my tractor belt mechanism and used the belts manually and they worked fine.
