    Well it has been 3 months to the day now since purchasing my first F-car and its been a wonderful ride!

    My list of improvements and items as they have come up are listed below and by my research all seem to be pretty normal expenses. I ended up getting a great price on the purchase so I am not that upset about spending a good amount in the first few months of ownership as there were some things that i expected and some that i did not.

    May 2025 - PPI showed ball joints, OEM steering install and airbag, new hardware for seat, oil service, front lower control arms ball joints, some alarm work, smog and 3rd light switch trunk.

    TOTAL = $6,735.39

    May 2025 - Sticky buttons/paint buttons, Windshield replacement, shrinking dash stretch with new vents reinstalled, AC recharge, F1 pump relay, side shields

    TOTAL = $5,819.00

    June 2025 - Timing belt, hydraulic tensioner both sides, cam belt tensioner both sides

    TOTAL = $3,033.59

    July 2025 - Check engine light comes on - leaking fuel pump, replace both fuel pumps and while opened up replace roll over valves, windshield wiper clean and flush

    TOTAL = $5,636.89

    = $21,223 in a few months of ownership

    Also placed an order for F360 Valvetronic Kline exhaust system TOTAL = $7000

    All in so far roughly $28,000

    Purchased $38,000 + improvements $28,000

    TOTAL = $66,000 thus far and feels to be pretty sorted at this point.

    The amount of work was a bit surprising this early on but hopefully the car is in good working order now. The only other items i really look to do now is ECU tune to CS possibly as the early 360's tune seem to give excessive wear on the clutch moving into first gear from a stop. I have a good clutch at 80% left so would like to preserve that as much as possible. Outside of that looking at possible wheels for a better stance and some body work as in a paint correction. Although i dont love the silver look i dont plan on changing it anytime soon! Other than that just enjoying this incredible vehicle on weekends and keeping her clean.

    It's pretty wild how quickly costs can add up on these cars.

    Holy cow a 360 for $38k ... that was an insane deal! The timing belt job seems like a fair price, who's your mechanic? I'm also in the Bay Area.

    Sounds like you're still ahead on the price. Good job.

    Rosseli’s Foreign Car Repair - on Lincoln Ave in San Jose, they’ve been great, not always the fastest, cars don’t get washed or any of the frills but they do a good job so far as I can tell.
    Does make me think about picking up a wrench though… just no time.

    Those prices could of been halved atleast if the work done yourself (if your into that), and if time is an issue like alot, its all a matter of importance ;)

    That said, for that price ($66K so about €57K) no way your gona find anything like that in europe or anywhere else. Absolute steal

    Definitely agree. And I would like to at some point be able to wrench on this or the next car. But like you said time is our biggest asset and at this stage in life, with little ones, it’s very limited. Cheers!
