    My ac vents were really sticky, so I bought a set from Dave at Sticky Rx. Turns out he had a set of Superamerica vents that had been redone, so that is what he sent me. You can see the changes made to the vents, including the small cavallino in the center of the SA vents. My old ones are in good shape except for the stickies, so not sure if I should keep them or sell them.

    Incidentally, here is a really inexpensive set of tools that I bought to remove the vents. Worked like a charm for only about $8. Worked great for opening spice cartons, too.

    Eric- Tach would look funny in a 550, though.

    I did not know there were two different types of vents until Dave sent them to me.

    Agreed but in your 575 it really makes the dash “pop” and is so sexy/unique.

    Yes on the fuel door for me; I have factory / OEM SA red cluster needles but the standard charcoal black tachometer…. I did not like the way either the red or yellow tach lit up with the green light at night.

    I don’t have the SA vents. I wonder if the silver inserts swap between the two? SA vents also used on the 612

    I should add the standard vent silver insert with the polished edge tend to wear. The only replacement (aside from buying a new vent entirely) is from carplastix. I bought a set and I’m going to do a side-by-side versus the original when I get around to it. Thst said, at least at first pass they were indistinguishable.

    Of course love the carbon steering wheel as well. If I recall the post somewhere about MaCarbon did the work maybe as the first or one of the first they did.

    Robbie- Affirmative, this should help. Not sure if I want to reinforce those mounts or not. This one is nylon and a lot tougher than the OEM one.

    Those vents look great. IMO a big upgrade over the other version. Maybe that will be the new hot upgrade to our 575's.

    A previous owner of my car had the standard vent ring surrounds hydro dipped. I wouldn't have bothered myself but I think it looks ok and I'm happy with the slight lift it gives to the interior. Image Unavailable, Please Login
