No. I just felt the other 2 more influential to Republic after the end of WW2.

The Rainbow was an amazing achievement. The P 47 Thunderbolt a legend.

So I went over again to the local Aircraft museum and asked them what was going on with the Skynight sitting behind their building. It has been sitting since 2021 on it's side. 2 months later and this is what I found. I think sometimes a little interest and a nudge can do amazing things.

    Very sleek King Cobra.

    From Facebook cancelled aircraft post:

"The Crazy Horse, registered as N9009, was a highly modified Bell P-63C Kingcobra air racer piloted by Larry H. Havens. It competed in the 1971 Reno Air Races, achieving notable speeds in the Unlimited class. Tragically, it crashed during a test flight over the Pacific Ocean on September 7, 1972, after engine failure, though the pilot safely bailed out."

Logistically it must have been a nightmare, but if you destroy all your old planes then you get new ones. A new military complex was born. I see a lot of P61's and C47's in the soon to be crushed aircraft site, both still operational. New Guinea 1945.

    An intersting story: (https://old.hermannkeist.ch/messerschmitt-me-109.html)

Switzerland, the first and largest export customer of the Me 109 E-3, received a total of 80 of the then standard fighter of the German Air Force between May 7, 1939, and April 27, 1940. The manufacturer, Messerschmitt AG in Regensburg (Bavaria), delivered the Swiss Me 109 E-3s without armament or radio equipment. The Swiss "Emil" was the only Me 109 E-3 equipped with a 20 mm FF-K Oe 37 cannon from Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon in the wing and two MG 29 7.45 mm machine guns from the Swiss Federal Arms Factory mounted above the engine. Unlike the compressed-air MG FF 20 mm cannons of the German Air Force, the FF-K Oe 37 of the Air Force could only be loaded manually on the ground. The Air Force retired its last "Emil" aircraft on December 28, 1949. The designation "Bf" was not used in Switzerland. A distinction was made between the Jumo "Dora" (Me 109 D) and the Daimler-Benz "Emil" (Me 109 E) engines on the Me 109 aircraft.

    10 Messerschmitt Me 109 D-1 "David" Registrations: J-301 - J-310 Decommissioned in 1949
    89 Messerschmitt Me 109 E-3 "Emil" Registrations: J-311 - J-399 Decommissioned in 1949
    2 Messerschmitt Me 109 F-4 "Fritz" Registrations: J-715, J-716 Decommissioned in 1947
    14 12 + 2 Messerschmitt Me 109 G-6 "Gustav" Registrations: J-701 - J-713 Decommissioned in 1947

I found some pictures from the Lufthansa Archives I would like to share here.
The first one is the Albatros L 73 Brandenburg during a refueling. Only 4 of this type have been build in 1926. It was specially designed for long distance night flights. The Brandenburg crashed on 28th of May 1928 in the German state with the same name, Brandenburg.

Another interesting picture from the early days of Germany's civil avaiation after WW I.
At the beginning of the 1920s, the "Commission Aéronautique Inter-Alliée" permitted civil aircraft construction in Germany again. The Deutsche Luftreederei then commissioned the Albatroswerke to develop a light passenger aircraft, resulting in the L 58. The prototype's maiden flight took place in 1923. Later, an improved version, the L 58a, was created. This model, designed for six passengers, was powered by a Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII engine. The pilot sits on top of the cabin in an open cockpit. The nine aircraft built initially came into the possession of Deutsche Aero Lloyd, the successor to the Deutsche Luftreederei. The resulting Deutsche Luft Hansa took over some of the aircraft in 1926 for brief use.
The plane pictured probably just rolled out of production because it is not registered yet.
