Pista Wheel Color….Opinions Wanted

I have a new Pista arriving this week and could use a little input from the community on wheel color. I have my personal favorite and I’m def leaning in one direction but just curious what others are feeling. Spec is Blu Scozia/Argento Nurberging livery. Interior is Nero Alcantara. Let me know what you think:

I like the silver wheels best as it compliments the Argento Nurberging livery very well.

 

I like Silver and Bronze second.

 

A HRE 5 spoke brushed high gloss style would be the finishing touch!

 

IMHO there's no competition silver is the best by far

I have a mint set of OEM Pista wheels in their original cardboard boxes if you decide to go that route. I will include brand new center caps, titanium lugs and TPMS. Please shoot me a message if interested.

I also have OEM Carbon Fiber wheels if you want to go big.

I vote for silver, definitely the best. Black ok as well. However, I don't like the bronze on this color combo at all, because it comes out of nowhere.
But this is just my opinion. You should buy the one that excites you. It's your car, and you have to like what you look at. There is no right or wrong.

Gold wheels without doubt - should have started a poll
Looks amazing with the Blue and rarer colour than the standard silver or black

 

The contrast of the gold is great in the pic you posted with that interior.
The black is also good with the black interior but it's too common.
Even the silver is good, matches the stripe but again even more common than the black.

Whichever you choose, you can't go wrong, it's personal taste and whatever you do someone will always moan and say something else is better.
Just remember they are all wrong and just want to annoy you / see you annoyed or upset at what they say.
Take some time. Keep looking at the pictures but with the interior you have, till you are sick of it. When you are done looking and ready to jump of a bridge from looking at the same pictures again and again. Pick the colour at that point that appeals to you the most.
Even my opinion is only that - i'm still right though! It's your car, you have to live with it so you are more right than anyone.
Go for it and show us the pics of what you choose, it's always interesting to me.

 

Thank you. Totally agree with all of your points and of course, opinion is always subjective. To me it’s less about rarity with the wheel choice versus what ties the esthetic of the car together best. I had a 992 GT3 that was black olive with Aerodyne wheels and the whole thing flowed perfectly. To my eye here, the gold/Bronze clashes with the Blu/Silver/Yellow and the silver ties it all together. Almost 100% leaning that way but I like hearing others opinions. There are some really knowledgeable people on this board who have been doing this a lot longer than I have and have really great design skills. Can’t hurt to hear them out.

PS- I personally like Porsches gold wheel 1000X more than the Ferrari Gold

What’s the caliper color…black?

I like silver and a dark grey wheel but the one you show may be black which would not be my vote.

I’ve seen black on dark blue and I agree with you, doesn’t fit

 

Yes, on the green Porsche, the gold/bronze wheels look amazing and cohesive, and silver would look bad on that car. However with the Blue car and silver stripe, the silver wheels seem to flow the best in my opinion.
Just keep staring at all the options for a few minutes each day, and the one that is more pleasing to you will stand out. And go with those.

 

Yeah I’ve pretty much decided on the silver. Part of me wants to get the carbon fiber wheels but the price is nuts and hey are so expensive to replace.

 

I’ve stored my carbon wheels and went with the OEM silver as it matches the Argento stripe. It pops a bit more I think.

Hilarious. I’m literally sitting here debating whether to buy CF wheels or go silver. Both look so incredible. Luxury of having a black car is the CF works so well with them. I think it would work with Blu Scoxzia as well but it’s an expensive experiment. I know the silver will look sick. I love the way yours ties back to the livery.
