Apologies for using the word “frunk”!
So the leather strap appears to be nice and snug around the toolkit and warranty book on the tightest hole (why are there other holes even punched?).
But after even moderate fast cornering, the very heavy toolkit falls out.
Has anyone found an effective way to secure it?
I guess I could pack it out with a thick cloth?
I understand that eventually the rivets holding the straps give out anyway…

I have the same issue... I put as many of the booklets into that pouch as possible to make it be its fattest. It doesn't slide out of the strap but it still kinda tries to lay down... I'll add a microfiber in there as well and see if that holds it more upright without stressing the straps too too much.

I think Ferrari uses these leather straps to have that old school charm type of look but honestly I can't stand them. I take out the tire goop stuff, It and the tools are still in the clear wrapper. I do have 2 or 3 microfiber towels help to take up room right now. I wish these straps were more modern like a ski boot strap or at least a nylon velcro strap as the leather Ferrari uses is not strong like a belt for your pants...real cheap feeling leather for cars that cost this much.

You might try lining backside of faux leather belt with stick on velcro tapes and tool case with matching velcro loop tapes. Totally concealed.

This post came it perfect timing. After a track day, noticed the leather snapped and the rivet with part of the leather is still mounted. How can I remove the rivet and place the remainder of the strap since it is long enough?

You will need to remove the frunk liner and drill out the old rivet, you can then refix your strap either using a new rivet or if not available,a small nut and bolt
