Firstly a big thank you to this forum for being such a resource for myself as I finally bought my first Ferrari. Recently took ownership of a 1995 456 GT in Azzurro blue.
Sadly today the speedometer stopped working and wondering if there is any advice I could try before a trip to the garage.
    Thanks

Does the front abs assembly sending unit on the 456 send the ecu the info for the Speedo?

where in the world are you located? Sig block is empty

If it's like the 456M, it's from one of the rear sensors (via the ABS unit).

But on the M car, the WSM has conflicting information. The speed either comes from the left rear or right rear wheel speed sensor.

Clean both sensors? Or clean one and test.

Appreciate the advise, will try cleaning the sensors and see what happens.
Also update details (based in London)

Apologies for the delayed response. Cleaning the sensor did the trick and all working again.
While here wanted to get a view on whether to add aftermarket side scuderia badges or keep original.

Shields were not an option on early 456s, so I would vote no, but then my 575 does not have them either and they were optional by then.

I’m in the UK and added high quality enamelled shields. I have a dark blue (Swatters blu) 456 gt and I’m very pleased that I added them. I have never wanted to remove them, even some years later.

Did you clean one at a time and test? Just wondering which sensor fixed the issue.

I did the one and it work, and to be honest after that I assumed there was only one.
Will make sure the second also gets cleaned.

    Beautiful colour, assuming tan interior.
I will give it some thought. I must say I think they look great but weighing up keeping it original.
Do you have a reference as to the ones you put on are they still available.

Well, there may be just one for speed. Did you clean the rear left hand sensor?

To each's own. It's your car, so if you like it, feel free to add them (just get OEM-looking metal/enamel ones). However, if you ever want to enter your car into a concours, this will be a point deduction.
