My Speciale A is showing up in my Ferrari app now. Gotta love all the cars on order that are showing waiting list.

I’ve driven SF90 AF at Silverstone and it was fine. I was there last week with 992 GT3RS with totally stock car and geo and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo tyres well used. Lapped in the 2.19’s with traffic (would have been 2.18s otherwise). Not too bad for pace, I certainly feel like I know how to put some proper energy through a car. Point is, if I go to the track I tend to drive with at least a decent pace. SF90 was fine when I took it. Ultra fast on the straights, not as much aero in the bends. Braking was not a problem (though not on 992 RS level). I could easily beat the times I was running with 991 RS and using same length stints. I only took it once but I enjoyed the car and never felt it was going to be weaker than the Porsches. 911s are cheaper over repeated use so I tend to use them but the SF90 was great fun. I’m not trying to prove or disprove anybody. but since there are few who have used an SF90 on track I thought I would at least offer what I found. I was lapping in the mid to high 2.20’s with the SF, so slower than 992 RS but I was a bit more conscious of the cost and the immense pace on the straights (nearly 170mph at the end of the Wellington straight is madness, the 992 is 150mph). So the lap time was slower but you can’t avoid putting plenty through the brakes when you have two high speed stops from 170mph per lap. They were fine all day, no fade. I sold the car a while after and the dealer never even mentioned wear as an issue so I assume that rotor wear was not as excessive as has been suggested, at least on our car. If much faster laps than this are being done, with long stints and long periods, my experience is not comparable. But I would suggest no road car is really designed to go much faster than this level over long periods without significant wear. All the Ferrari’s I’ve tracked - Speciale, Pista and SF90 AF have all felt robust and fine for reasonably fast track day use. I drive them no less hard than the Porsches we’ve had. I can’t help it when I’m there!

Pista is terrible on the track, stock brakes couldn't hold up and too much body roll. SF90 is as you describe and can be a lot of fun but you cannot drive it like you would a track car - very fast and heavy for properr braking with the stock units. The GT3RS definitely holds up better but it doesn't carry the same speed so easier on the brakes.

I think in this case 50k extra is the best case scenario, there are so many options...

If I went in person, I'd never leave. If you get the best weight seats and do TM, that's the only fabric you'll have to pay extra for. I don't believe there is an option for another design livery for that seat, so it'll save money there. When I specced my SF90 sets in Blu Jeans Aunde and with a special livery, they must have come to $40k or so. Crazy prices.

does anyone have actual pics of colored 296 or like SF90XX or sinilar colored carbon parts - looking for examples of gloss blue, green, brown, red - i feel the pics i've seen in the past have been over saturated to show the colour and can't really gauge how vibrant the effect is in real life.

I have blue carbon inside and out in my SF90. The interior is pretty noticeable generally. The exterior carbon is pretty sensitive to light, if it's darker or overcast you don't really notice it but it's vibrant/dramatic in direct sunlight. Very cool, but not sure it's worth the money.

Your dealer has samples - lots of contrast between paint and colored carbon, or barely notice.
Suggest choose carbon then paint, simple paints imo work better - CF colors are not vibrant esp on small pieces. Went Cervino / blue cf.

Lucky man … I have been offered a Speciale (not A) but have declined … don’t want to swap my GTS for it… 830hp is sufficient for me and I don’t need a track biased car.. …moreover the hit I will take $$$ to trade to the Speciale would be punishing … I think they will make at least as many Speciales of different variants as Pistas… 5-6k…

$470 before the tariff. Someone shared a screen shot from his US based dealer that clearly showed that owners will pay 8.5% (vs the whole tariff of 15%). IIRC. IIRC the tariff is based on the entire price of the car with options not base price. And this is before sales taxes.

The 8.5% "tariff contribution" is set by Ferrari. It is a percentage of MSRP, including base and options.

The tariff is paid by FNA. It is based on the import price of the car, which is lower than MSRP. It is likely that 8.5% of MSRP covers the full cost of the 12.5% tariff increase. In other words, unless Ferrari lowers the tariff contribution, they are likely passing the full cost of the tariff increase on to the customer.

The 8.5% tariff contribution was set when the tariff was 27.5%. Now that it's fallen to 15% (vs the legacy 2.5% rate), we'll see if they lower the tariff contribution accordingly. Vigne made vague comments in the quarterly call suggesting that they might, but to my knowledge, nothing has changed to date.

So the 8.5% is not included in the $470k base price?

I’m awaiting the 296 speciale cup 2 rear tyres to be available, it’ll be the first tyre available for the 296 that’s a pilot 4s and cup 2 r middle ground.

    Many cars use 305 30 20 but no other car use 305 35 20

Any ideas how long before that’s publically available?

Same boat - 296 is the new / old V12 Ferrari depreciation.
I don't see the value to lose a Spider for a coupe, then add 325k additional with tariffs.
Funny they tossed a wing on the all new electric Ferrari - marketing is pulling out all the stops to make it attractive.

$510....with the 8.5% tariff. Lock in an earlier car before Ferrari pushes the entire tariff to the buyer (add on 6.5% if that happens)

Mine is the same. In fact, most of my cars on the app are wrong compared to the spec I have. Only the 296GTB is accurate and not gray, or so I thought, and then realized the tricolore on the 12Cilindri. Lol. 2 out of 6 ain’t bad. My 812GTS once showed pink.
