Apparently Tom Meade built this odd mashup of a 250 GTE with design cues from a 275 GTB. Anyone have any period photos of it?

Why would you put that engine in it?

Oof! A million dollar Ferrari? It may take that much to complete it. Not a 275 GTB front clip.
(BTW BMW M1 did not have a V12)

More likely one of those examples in “How to end up with $1/4M Ferrari by spending a $1M worth of time & money on it”.
OTOH, spending only $1/2M might provide a smaller loss, even if selling it at $50K when done.

Thank you for posting! I personally think the engine is a great choice. Episode 2 is out. It's now running on all 12 cylinders. I also show how I park my Diablo.

The grease monkey with an Aussie/NZ accent has no idea what he is talking about concerning history, I interviewed Tom in person 5 hours in 1996, had numerous multi-hour phone chats with him until he passed exactly 12 years ago, did four research articles on him and his cars and can confirm that this video has a huge percentage of nonsense, in fact I have never seen one more vague and ill informed.

He was initially tolerated by Ferrari but did not collaborate directly with them in any way. Later he was blackballed because it was felt he was drawing too much attention while modifying Ferraris and had to cease doing that.

Also as 375+ noted this is not a 275GTB nose anyone can see that.

This is like a TV report about 5 year olds...and produced by them.

I believe this is the same car (before further mods). It was for sale in 2007 and advertised as a Tom Meade car (without any documentation or corroboration). I was skeptical, then, particularly given the terrible crimes that have been inflicted on what was left of it at that time. I can’t recall the price in 2007 but I do remember thinking the owner was “not serious“ about selling.
