    Not to worry Mark,

if the subject mater has veered miles off track it is not because of you or me but "thanks to the help" of Bob, the all time off topic world champion who has an incredible ability to veer off course in any thread given one tiny chance;-)

Now back to the subject matter, if Bob does not mind...

The Bora is appreciated by those who deserve it; never mind the crowd of red Ferrari/grey stuttgart piggy 911 sheep and the many who lifted bidding paddles this weekend in Monterey or are staring at ridiculously polished never driven trailer queens at Pebble Beach right this minute.

The Bora, like the Khamsin, is appreciated by those capable of appreciating it; I am currently assisting a very serious client in finding the right Bora and they are very quietly assessing their options, without undue hurry, evaluating the various cars I have offered them up to this point and more cars in Europe I will offer them once everybody in France and Italy gets home from holiday in two weeks.

In the meantime I am headed right now to my groovy local lake for a swim to beat the heatwave:)

Ah yes the self appointed thread purity Czar strikes again, now expanding his territory to include Boras as well as Khamsins. :)

The more Bora owners that own the car because they appreciate it the better it is for all Bora owners as those of us who own one know that it isn’t appreciated the way it should be.

Been a while so I thought I would post. My car didn’t sell on BAT. RNM bid up to 140k.

So I will just enjoy it a while longer.

Some months ago I think I posted about the car not turning off and that it was likely do to my aftermarket fan circuitry. Pulling the factory fan fuse out let the engine die with the ignition off. But then the fans didn’t come on with the ac. Only at temperature. I replaced that fuse with an ac diode. Now the fans come in with ac and at temperature and the car turns off properly.

I went ahead and ran a direct circuit to the HVAC fan high lead using a relay wired to the battery as mentioned by Ivan. Perhaps there’s a tad more air flow. Also shot a can of Freon in. AC now blows 52F air in an ambient temperature of 88F. I think the ac is now as good as it’s gonna get short of re engineering the whole thing.

Another long road rally next weekend: Orlando to Tampa round trip with some other car peeps sponsored by local car clubs. Will update if the ac fan relay helped a bit in real world usage.

unfortunately you’re finding out what us long time Maserchist owners have known for a long time. Maseratis just don’t get the respect they deserve, even compared to Lamborghini or Aston Martin not just Ferrari. If you want to know the real value of a given Maserati, look at the equivalent model Ferrari in similar condition, the Maserati is worth 1/3 to 1/2 of that car. Bora equivalent is the Boxer.

The back portions tend to crack where the rear corner pieces tilt up to meet the underside of the hatch over time and the horizontal non removable portions easily dent from leaning on them with your elbows. You can reinforce these with aluminum or some people utilize hardboard (Masonite) underneath as it doesn't dent or sag
