I haven't gotten as far on thinking about spec but I imagine I will soon. I don't think this car will be much of a track car but it should be a sporty ride.

Anyone here from Middle East / Asia who has been able to put in an order with a confirmed specification? And has been given detailed option pricing etc?

I know orders from the rest of the world usually lags behind US and Europe so just trying to get an idea.

What are allocations like in the uk for this? Been told I need to buy a Roma Spider or new 296 GTS (already have a new gts however and don’t fancy changing it)

I've heard for spiders the factory told the dealers who they could give a car to, for the coupe, the dealer could decide. Far fewer spiders vs coupe (3:10 ratio). I'm pleased to make the cut for coupe, but I do have a very strong relationship with my dealer, built over many years, and buying cars. I've never played the game, always bought the cars I wanted, to keep and use.

    Thanks, that makes sense

my dealer has bigger customers than me, I’ve had one new car and the rest second hand. I’m tempted to by another 812 to go along with 296 but haven’t seen the right one yet

Makes sense they’ve just picked someone else

Works with the 4 point in the 458 Speciale fine. The straps fit in the carbon shoulders, required to provide restraint.

Has anyone in US put in actual orders for the 296 VS and what was your spec like?

These were done at the dealer. I like the bottom one with the stripe and wheel combo, but not quite right yet.

Was given the same info. Bought a 296 GTB last year and changed it for 296 GTS in March this year and dealer has given me a slot for the 296 VS but out of their 2026 allocation, not their 2025 allocation. Not sure what this will mean from a delivery point of view but I'm not expecting it until end of 2026 at best.

Was also told all the spider allocations were decided very early on with their top long term customers being pre picked for them

VS spider slots were picked by dealer - 100% from a (cough) qualified list.
Dealers were given a lot of freedom to take care of 296 inventory for VS.
It doesn't matter both editions have their advantages - one has more financial than the other and that goes for all parties. Track versions are pretty rare - congrats.

Agree - went for the Speciale based on the car and not the re-sale value as I love my GTS and the 296 VS will be a keeeper for me as long as it lives up the promise!

Would have liked the Aperta but since my GTS is a keeper, it makes more sense for the coupe. Regardless, I'm very grateful to have an allocation.

I’m torn on the carbon wheels. To be honest, I don’t love any of the wheels! I am considering a special white stripe, but will see if I go Rosso supercar or Maranello, or something of the like. My dealer has a warranty for the cf wheels now, so an option, but with the roads around me, it seems irresponsible. I bent the race wheel on a nothing pot hole with the 812SF.

I like the carbon wheels more than the others. The standard ones are kinda bad!

Especially compared to the sexy forged ones in the standard car.

I used to think the same but the standard wheel (just the silver finish) has really grown on me. They have a "no fuss racecar" vibe to them.

I want the two tone ones to work. I really do. Will see. The silver ones are nice, as you said, no fuss, but I like some fuss!
