I haven’t seen in person but the two tones for my just don’t work because the actual wheel looks too small or something. They give off a retro vibe or something (like a Kindig Customs wheel if you know what I’m saying) on a car that’s super modern and styling. The base 296 had some retro vibe. This is fully in the present / future.
I agree. I looked into some after market white wheels a year or so ago and thought they looked pretty sweet.
I just got my pricing worked out for the Speciale. It is $646k before tariff MSRP. I got almost every carbon option, but did a standard paint to keep down cost.
Thanks for sharing. Thats 175K in options! How much of that is carbon? Im wondering if carbkn is like 60-70% of the options cost?
That paint saved you $50k. Going to be tough to get these under $650k. Then add $50k for tariff. And then $50k for taxes $750k for coupes and $825k for spiders after everything. Just craziness.
I do have some other expensive options. Dreamliner seats, tri-colore shift paddles, tri-colore center on steering wheel, painted shields, and others.
I think we are entering a new era of pricing where the new 400k is the old 250. And the price of admission for newer rear mid engine will be higher starting in 600-700k. While the sf90-ruvelto of the worlds will be 800k-1M. Craziness i may be off a 100k here or there but it seems like pricing is moving up 100-200k for each segment.
It's a ladder that's only going upwards. Guess we should expect the 296M VS Spiders to hit the $1m mark at this rate.
Lot of confusion for sure, it was posted by user laguna that the car comes with the diffusor and other parts in CF standard, some 60-70k+ of options on a regular 296 were standard on the speciale. Which makes sense as the car is 140k more then a regular 296. Does the sf90xx come with standard carbon exterior pieces, maybe this would give us a better direction..? Only Ferrari can pull this off, ask customers to start building without pricing lol. Regardless, ive never had so much trouble spec-ing the speciale. The stripes are off to me, they just dont work on this car. Would love to do CF wheels to match my pista however the car is just too pricey IMO. I love adding a lot of options to every car i buy, however this one im being cautious.
296M is next 296 - until we see SF90M we don't know what M will be. Really like to see a 296VS Speciale review to compere 296, over due.
Any thoughts on how spec 'sensitive' these will be? I'm not planning on selling it but also don't want to have a car thats 'poverty spec' I have a GTS that I resisted too much external carbon on, but I'm wondering if there are going to be any must haves. Obviously Id like to know the costs but I also don't want to miss out on must haves on this one
A V6 that's better than the V8 it replaces. Speaking as someone who lost his 296 and just bought a Pista .
Stripes have been so frustrating for me too! A lot of the best colors (3/4 layer) that are not red look better without stripes - they just look too narrow on the hood, even with the new aero. I'm doing a standard color but customing the stripes. I'm going to do something similar to many pista's and have it be dual color. I feel like the stripes on the Pista generally look great.
