Yes. Look at interiors of XX, the photo showed it well but this site is not the best for pics. I went with it but Alcantara is nicer - feel if they offer something special - take it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tough to see, but appears to blend in with the doors, which I assume are carbon. I was thinking of keeping the standard fabric for the racing vibe whereas Alcantara is more of a luxury vibe to me. Really dislike the look of matt carbon fiber on the interior of the launch cars.
My feeling is that no other car has the option for a CF lower dash. Not the XX, nothing since the LaF. $6k for alcantara or $9k for carbon. I'm excited for the carbon. I suppose I'll have to get it ppc'd, but still.
Uh oh... I hope they are not too strict. I just want to match my Speciale to my GTS spec, which is kinda bold. But it has racing heritage so fingers crossed!
It’s not clear to me if it’s just a carbon fiber cover over the lower dash panel or is the entire lower dash panel made of carbon fiber. If former, thats just weak and not worth it for me.
I don’t think anything has ever been a carbon cover direct from Ferrari. I’m assuming it replaces the whole lower dash piece with carbon.
what is everyone's opinion on the optimal type of paint for this car? metallic or flat? 3/4 layer, 2 layer or even single layer like rosso corsa? I am sure every paint will look fantastic, just trying to figure out what type will compliment the shape and style of the speciale the best.
I think anything with a metallic or mica will be complimentary. 2, 3, 4 layers isn’t really important. I know when I ordered Sanu Silver, I was under the impression that it is a 4 layer, but priced as a 2. I spoke with Aldo at TM and he said the layers don’t matter, it’s just what they need for the effect.
Do you know if the cost is the same for the 2 layer (PNT1) and 3/4 layer (PNTE) paints on the speciale?
Agree - XX went with tech material, looks / feels a lot like 458Speciale tech material and it's no charge. My 458S is all matte carbon inside n out - would do the same if I spec one.
Best weight seats. I think the metallic looks best on 296 personally. 2+ layer paint, really into blues/oranges for options possibly colored carbon Livery, likely numbers on doors Interested in most carbon options Really like how dreamlines compliment livery and lines of the car Really stuck on wheels because I do agree carbon wheel is getting dated for being the same design for so long but it looks so good on it. Will have to play around with them. Just the quick things that came to mind. What are others opinions on colored carbon for interior/exterior? Cost aside, do you do just exterior and not interior, vice versa or all or nothing?
I am entertaining doing 2x2 weave for the exterior carbon. I almost did it with the sf90. Was about $35k extra. Also looking at doing colored carbon for the glossy components for the interior. Leaving matte pieces alone.
I wasn't a fan of colored carbon until I saw @Cocoloco XX. the blue carbon really stands out in a good way against the bianco cervino paint, so I think it would depend on the color scheme. have seen interior colored carbon that looks good but I would probably only do exterior. agree on best weight seats and number on door.
Thanks, interior parts - only some can be tinted which is why I went heavy blue / white alcanatara accents. Funny because these cars are so small - the small items are near meaningless but seem important. Going back "old school" or heritage is less expensive and timeless - Cervino is a heritage color.
