Man, sounds like you guys all have just about reached the end of the road in terms supercars as a hobby. I get it, I'm not at your level, but I also don't find there are that many cars I would really want down the road. Definitely don't need anymore performance than the 296. I'm excited to see what McLaren comes up with as a 750s replacement. But if it's anything like a 296 or Temerario, I'm not interested. Maybe one day an all electric sports car that's super light weight, when technology gets there...

It spoils you with the 296, as the performance is so extreme that there is a sense of “where do we go from here?!” Without just driving Lemans racers out F1 cars on the street. And then also some pangs about where/when you can run it out a bit.

Then back into the Testarossa, where at 1/3 the speed you’re getting a lot of input, feedback, and rowing gears - it’s a different thing altogether. Then the soul searching about “what do I want?” And trying to figure out what makes me most happy. Collecting the cars we wanted as kids is a different fulfillment than the latest and greatest. But classics require different tolerance for maintenance and upkeep.

The more cars you get to drive though, it’s fun to figure out what you like and dislike, or what just does not excite you. There are a bunch of cars that are objectively good, and some that other people really like, that I drive and can accept that it’s not what I like/want.

Got word that mine is at port in NJ. That’s about 2 months to dealer now? Of course just now judge rules tariffs are illegally imposed… who knows if that will affect it. I could see Ferrari wanting to sort that out before paying it and taking a loss.

If the tariffs are ultimately reversed- Ferrari would get a refund. Don’t hold your breath.

I didn’t think I would get a break though, just saying Ferrari might hold my car back and not ship it if there’s a chance they don’t have to pay out.

    La Plata metallic?

Our timelines are similar, hoping mine's only at port 6 weeks.

Mine just landed at the dealer. Pictures below because what the heck. I still need to do paperwork and then PPF so probably about a week or two before I can take possession. I'll probably start a new thread at that point with my reviews that will likely repeat what's already been posted but again, what the heck.

Looks very nice; especially those Daytona style seats with matte carbon. Congrats!

For those that have had both or have both, is the interior space roughly the same?

thanks hopefully its a good choice. I forgot I did that to be honest. I'm assuming non-matte carbon is more?

Just the opposite as gloss is just clear coat for the finish. Matte finish is a more complicated process; for all interior pieces about 5,000 dollars more.

Congrats! Fun to see my car’s “shipmate” land. Really nicely done spec.

My PPF was done today so picking it up on Saturday. Getting kinda giddy at this point!

Closed on the 296 today. Very impressive car in person. I get it week after next after paint correction and ppf. I'll probably start a new thread then. Thanks for all the help and encouragement.

I just bought the 296 GTS in BAT- Metallic Black/ White. I am enamored with the 296. I have a 296 GTB AF. The car is so, so good I had to get a GTS too. Long live the 296 LOL

I finally got my 2024 GTS (238mi on the ODO) on Friday and by Tuesday morning I'd already taken it into service and left it there. On my very first highway onramp I got "Engine Control System Failure", "E-manatino failure" "ESC failure" and a few others I can't read at 80mph because the car also lost most of its power from going into limp mode. Also after I got back home and turned the car off a loud squealing noise was coming from the engine bay for 15 minutes straight - like air escaping out of the nozzle on a balloon. The neighbors came over to see what was making all the noise.

Can't register the car because I need it smogged first (brought in from out of state), and can't smog it due to the check engine light. Doh.

Figured a 2024 wouldn't have had these issues still, especially after being vetted by a previous owner and ferrari dealer. I get it - stuff happens. Hopefully it's just a temporary speed bump and not another owners lemon.

Sorry to hear, although you’ve been around and probably already know that those errors together are likely the small battery going dead. Should be either warranty or service contract item. Either way please keep us posted on the resolution.
