Hello folks, I’ve recently experienced an issue on down shift from 4th to 3rd, it hesitates on the down shift as if it can’t make up its mind and basically doesn’t like 3rd gear when hot, I think it’s the TCU but open to suggestions as there’s no faults and no engine/ gearbox light action, and the clutch is near new plus the actuator was refurbished at the same time I purchased the CS tcu so under 2 years old, thoughts?
    Regards Adrian OZ

I could be wrong but if you hear sometimes a grinding noise while downshifting from 4 to 3 the problem is a synchromesh 100%.The 3rd and 4th ones are notorious for having issues.
The F1 system slaps in the gears with little regard to a proper insertions and could be brutal in the long time for the synchromeshes.

    Ev1 controls the engagement

Would like to add the most obvious one to the list which is to bleed the actuator

Do the bleed and while actuator is off try the 4 to third downshift ..see if forks move correctly
Also use your fingers change gear in transmission to see if anything is binding
Put everything back to neutral before mounting
Do the self learn process once attached
    What's your pis ?
