Can you imagine how low the price of used SF90s are going to get? There is already a crazy amount of them listed for sale that dealers can’t give away at 40-50% off MSRP. I can only imagine when the 849 starts hitting dealer lots how much lower the price of SF90s will get. The used SF90 market will be doing the limbo and going 60-70% off original MSRP.

If a car only looks good in black, it's a very bad sign. A real Ferrari looks good in any color.

 

The cars will stabilize and increase in value because an 849 looks modest and, with extras, costs at least 150-200 thousand more as SF90

 

Naaa, they can’t sell SF90’s now to save their life. The cars that will truly appreciate because of this are the non hybrid V8s that actually look good. Pista, 458, 488, F8, and 430 all just got a additional 10-20% appreciation increase as of this morning haha.

 

Mass produced Mclarens are no different. This is the top end car world today, and the way it almost always was.

The car looks brilliant. So much better than the SF90.

 

I think this is the least effective use of the black bar across the front. If it was bigger or lower on the face, maybe it could work. That being said, the AF pack has some cool features and makes it look more impressive to me.

 

Mclaren 750 are not losing 50% of their value after 2 years haha. Arturas yes. It simply is the hybrid curse. Doesn’t matter what brand it is. Nobody wants hybrids, and manufacturers are charging astronomical numbers for them. Aka why the SF90, 296, Artura, and now the Revuelto are in a free fall price wise on the used market. Same thing will happen to the Lambo Temerario and now the new 849.

People want non hybrid, the recent unbelievable surge in prices for 458 Speciale’s, 430 Scuds, 488 Pistas, SV and SVJ’s should be a pretty good indicator of what the collectors (including myself) want. I recently picked up an SV before the market went crazy, in the hunt now for a 430 Scud.

We need to know which tires the Fiorano lap time is set on, and if it's set with the standard or AF car. The press release does not specify further, perhaps deliberately. Because the specs on this car propose a conundrum on why the F80 is an awful lot more money.

There are four tire choice available for the 849, two for standard (Pirelli PZero R or Bridgestone
Potenza Sport), and two for AF (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 and Sport Cup2R by request).

If the lap time quoted is set by a non AF car on Cup 2 (not R), this car in AF trim on Cup 2 R is probably not more than a second off the F80 lap time.

Not that it matters in the real world, but the proposition of the potential performance on offer for less than the deposit of an F80 would not make me as an F80 buyer very impressed.

 

You nailed it, all these overly complex hybrids lose big money for the first owners for now, no matter what brand.. It's not just a Ferrari issue.

But Ferrari still have very long waiting lists. For now, Ferrari are pre-selling every car they can build well in advance.

 

You can rest assured that it was set with the quickest possible configuration. The F80 is a much more advanced machine.

Remember when Ferrari say they have customers/orders for all their cars that means that they have dealer commitments for them, doesn’t mean the dealers currently have them sold
For Ferrari the dealers are the customers, they dont care about the owners

As I said all along a baby f80 with some curves. aka F80 and SF90 had a baby. Testarossa stood for the famous Ferrari V12/flat-12 now a V8 Hybrid wtf. At least the 288GTO did right by it's heritage even though it was a V8 not V12. Then there is those stripes lmao. All I see and feel in these newer Ferrari's is lifeless Apple influenced design. The Italian Passion and DNA is gone. just my 2 cents

 

UK Ferrari dealers are the absolute best of any car brand i have dealt with...
