You should've had the "kid" wash it in exchange for the photoshoot opportunity while you teach & supervise her/him during the process, perhaps enjoying the managerial duties in a lawn chair & adult beverage of your choice in hand.

Was the name of the French Ferrari Club changed from CFF Club Ferrari France to Ferrari Owners Club France ("FOC")?

No, that's my own translation - note that on the ferrari.com website, it's listed with the name in french, but in the "Ferrari Owners Club" section; I could argue it's the French FOC, which is named CFF...

Oh, man! 1/2 a freaking point!!! Ugh! Still, I’m sure it was a great experience, and a lot of fun. What were the deductions for?

 

Hopefully nobody was foolish enough to promise/suggest anything like that ?

Other than that, good luck with your future concours and/or driving endeavors with what appears to be a very nice car (I personally like the exterior color, a lot).

 

I got dinged for a dirty fuse panel, slightly mis aligned drivers side door and a couple other tiny things.
These have all since been corrected……so gonna go back after it.

 

Nope just me lol

 

I'm sure you're aware & understand there's always a chance the next group of judges (or even if they're same individuals) may find other deductions and perhaps more ...,
... which can result to even lower point score "next time".

I'm glad you understand what so many owners don't and aren't seemingly discouraged by this.
If anything, multiple judging events & subsequent efforts to remedy discovered issues will help you learn more about your car along with improving its authenticity, which eventually will lead to a chance for higher scores.

I know I'm in a (likely very small) minority with following opinion, but once a car has received at least three consecutive Platinum-level scores (at major concourses), it truly has earned a right to be considered a Platinum-level specimen.
But again, that's just my opinion.

 

I agree with you.

once I get one (my first one with this car) I’ll just be doing the cavallino display moving forward. The whole platinum thing is a carrot that I only need one time.
Multiple platinum awards on the same car makes no sense to me.

 

I hear you & applaud your continued enthusiasm to enjoy, improve & show your car.
I know most people agree with you about a single Platinum being enough and there’s nothing wrong with that, but my personal opinion/perception about it is little different, that’s all.

 

for me it’s a bit two fold.
I just sold a beautiful 430 scuderia…..I took it to an event and won a platinum first go around and did nothing to the car. Albeit rewarding it was a little anti climactic.

as far as the 330GTC goes it’s been a project, a process and an expensive endeavor.
I’m pretty confident that I’ve put more money into the car than it could ever be worth so once I get a platinum (fingers crossed) the reward will be ten fold what the reward was on the Scuderia.
Ive shipped my 330 all over the country to make it as correct as I can…..it’s been shipped more miles in my ownership than it’s actually been driven. I feel like once I get a platinum (again hopefully) I feel like I’ll be able to move on from perfecting things and actually have more enjoyment driving it than perfecting it.

the platinum award is a goal but also a rolling platinum award winner is more important to me.

I know guys who receive multiple platinums year and year again for the same car. All I can say is good for them!
