yes had a blk diablo vt than a 98 sv monterey edition in mont blue my new addtion is a 99 vt monterey blue color and a apline edition
That car sold for $600k today on BAT. A yellow one in Japan with same 18k miles is still for sale 62m Yen ($424k USD today's rate). A black 4k mile one in Japan wanted 98m Yen when I asked them 2 months ago...still available so maybe the ask has gone down.
True but color is a huge impact on these cars; seems that the least desirable are yellow and silver. Purple, orange, white, and blue (all other things being equal) tend to command more of a premium. I don’t know how the market reacts to black/green/reds. With my Andromeda car a 1 of 4 (plus last I checked, one of those 4 was shipped to Europe, so down to only three here), there just have not been enough sales to see if there’s any premium for red.
WTH? No offense intended but Yellow is the Ferrari red equivalent of the Diablo era.....VERY popular as a skittles color, which is a big deal for Lamborghini colors Look at the way the pearl metallic shines, it kills at car shows Image Unavailable, Please Login
I actually stopped by to see the yellow one in Japan. I was not impressed with the condition of the car given what they are asking for it.
Apples to oranges; on non-6.0 completely true. I’m talking about 6.0 only, not VT/roadster etc. For the 6.0 maybe it’s a production issue? I would argue orange is ‘the’ 6.0 color. They did have a very different spread of colors. Ultimately it’s a market question - see the median sale prices vs the other colors. Happy to be wrong.
I figured it was supply being more yellow than the others. Is yellow not the most common? Thanks for that info. What in particular stood out? I will be in Japan in Dec and was thinking of driving to see it if still for sale (probably will be at this rate). I'm wondering if we are getting to the point any driver car of this age is best off being restored both mechanically and cosmetically so purchase condition may not matter as much although price still would of course.
