Ferrari went down the hybrid route 11 years ago (actually many years of development before that) prior to any real pressure from the regulators. They did it on the hyper cars for performance only. And- it works masterfully.
Anyone know if the cavalcade colours Rosso Toarmina and Blu Capri are 2 layer or 3/4 Layer? if 2 layer are they PNT1 or priced differently? I believe they’re no longer exclusive to cavalcade participants only now.
Depending on my needs I almost daily my car and I drive quite a lot in E mode, it’s so convenient, I actually love the fact that the option is there, I drove one of my non-hybrid cars yesterday and instinctively I was looking for the EV mode when a call came in and when I realised there was no EV mode I was quite disappointed LOL Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love being able to pull in and out of my neighborhood or friends neighborhoods in silence. I came home in my 765 LT last night and almost felt rude lol. I also like the electric mode acceleration is slow. It's fine to floor it and (very slowly) build the pace. Perfect for city driving and early morning departures and late night arrivals.
Surprised at this. Usually they want to get rid of inventory when someone backed out. Maybe more to that story.
It is more limited and supposed to be for people who ran in Challenge or Club only. Performance is the same. Honestly, I might swap my Piloti for an Aperta if given the choice.
The Piloti versions are exclusively offered to drivers participating in the Challenge series. It’s just not a car that anyone can get allocated. My dealer told me that anyone getting a Piloti allocation also gets another Speciale allocation. So, they essentially get two if they want it.
This car is beginning to worry me, Ive just watched a video on Jay-em on cars and to my knowledge he has never bought a new car (he has older models) and says he's been offered a Speciale but doesn't want it, Shmee also offered one and not sure whether to get one or not. If they are that easy to get and with the price be sillily high I'm thinking of backing out, Ive lost £100k on my GTB Im not going down that road again and I fear that's where it will go.
Not sure what to say but: 1) YouTubers will give non answers or controversial answers to drive comment engagement 2) I don’t expect any hybrid to increase in value like the Pista or 458 Speciale, even if it’s a truly numbered car, and this one is not. There is not a single hybrid on the market that has not decreased in value (27% avg loss per year for exotic hybrid). 3) As an actual car, the 296 Speciale will certainly be one of, if not the best cars on the road under 1 million dollars. It’s going to perform great, sound great, look great, be comfortable, etc. Who knows what the value will be in 1, 5 or 10 years? If you care about driving, get the car. I wish I had an allocation.
I saw this video earlier today. I don't recall him saying he got an allocation. He said that if he did, he would not get it given how expensive it is. Also for context, he also said 296 is one of the best driving ferraris. You have two camps which happens naturally. people concerned with the direction Ferrari are heading and the other that will go and buy the newest offering from Maranello. We should go back and look at the forum relative to the feedback when the 488 came out and pista came out. Pista was widely criticized. The debate then was NA vs Turbo. Now the debate is Hybrid, V6 and/or design. I also heard from the dealer that the demand for the 459 Testerrorsa is very high. they are getting a lot of interest. Whether that's made up, i dont know but i'm sure every car they allocate will sell. We all have to make a decision where to put our money. Ferrari is no longer the same company it was 15 years ago and that does play into it for the legacy/loyalists. The leadership is different. they are making more cars, more models. but they are consistently using technology to make their cars faster. I can't fault them for the sound. that unfortuntaley is regulation driven. I can understand that critisim. Time will tell if they evolve or implode.
'If I wanted one I could have one, but I don't want one" was Jay's words. I think someone is making that up about the 459 that's one of the worst cars I've ever seen and pretty much everyone agree's. Ferrari is heading down a dark road in my opinion they are too expensive look awful and make far too many, I never thought I would see the day when they drop £100k in 12 months, and any first time buyer can walk in a dealer and order pretty much what they want, (except numbered cars) that is not a desirable brand to me.
I guess you mean the 849. But who is "everyone"? Plenty of people like it in the SF90/849 section of the forum.
