I can't put my finger on why, but that's giving me classic Citroën vibes.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I attended the ArtCenter car show today. It was one of the features of their Alumni Reunion weekend so I saw a lot of old school friends. As for the cars, they were supposed to be designed by alumni or owned by alumni, so that opened the door for pretty much any car. The highlights are shown in the images. The Mustang wagon was interesting. The placard listed Peter Brock and Robert Cumberford as designers and the text in the framed article mentions a Peter Brock sketch. I will have to ask him about his involvement.
I sculpted the yellow Integra 1/4 scale model over 30 years ago! It was cool to see it again.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I've never seen one with the "light bar" in body colour, only brushed alloy or perspex.

The pre 71 cars had fixed lights under plex covers which carried the graphic across the front. From 71 to 73 they had pop up headlights with (generally) bodycolor surround.

Peter Brock said he wasn't involved with the Mustang wagon, but it was apparently built based on his sketch shown in the article.

Sure has been slow around here all week.

Lionel (toy trains) is now selling a futuristic locomotive. Looks like AI was responsible for the design. Rather appealing for what it is (cross between an Amtrak Acela and a fighter jet?).

Funny, I just finished reading that article. Didn't really say that much as far as I was concerned.

On the other hand, we could talk about the other end of the spectrum- the biggest rear end fails.

IMHO, that would be the Corvette C8, so busy, busy, busy and it still looks like a tacky Camaro. So far, this design issue has kept me from pulling the trigger on a C8.

I have been following C8 rear body kits from the aftermarket over the past five years; but some of them are way uglier, cost big money, and would probably devalue the car.

However, I've recently come across a body-colored round tail light kit that IMHO, gives the C8 a much cleaner vibe. Price is $1,500 and looks like it could be a bolt-in/out part. And then, of course, there is probably a cleaner rear diffuser available someplace to continue a makeover. My 2¢.

Just get a McLaren GT, the front and sides are virtually identical to the C8 but with a clean rear end.

I couldn't agree more with your thoughts on the C8. Overwrought & overdone.
A close friend was the Chief Designer so I never bring it up. I waited 50 yrs for a mid engined Corvette and that's the best they could do?
    That's all I'm going to say.:rolleyes::eek:

I first saw the 4 Rotor when I was at Art Center. Hooked me and sealed my decision to work at GM Design.

You're lucky if a nice rear end only doubles the price. :)
