What have you done to your Ferrari Today?

Well nothing got done. The rebuilding kits are wrong and my expansion tank snapped where the top hose goes on.

I bought a spare top to continue the GTBS’ing of my 308. Just painted it yesterday and installed today. Extremely happy with the look! Exactly what I was after. Up next is coil overs from Nick Forza, should lower it an inch, and new wheels in a month or so.

What wheels are you going with?

 

Your "GTB" side windows look fantastic! I would be too nervous to cut out the louvres. Great job!

 

I custom designed a set that look like Dino wheels. More to come on those when they get here. 17”. Think they’ll really look sharp.

Nervous to cut side lovers? That’s why I bought a spare set to do it to! Everything I do is reversible of I ever decide to go back. Which I won’t!

I installed new coil overs yesterday. Painted the wheels Bronze and thinking of painting the black rocker Bronze to match and tie in the wheels. Love the look! What model Aldans did you go with? I don't see them on their website. Any modifications to make them work?

 

I got them from Nick Forza. It’s the ones on their site. Spring rates were 350 rear and 300 front,IIRC.

Just some minor radius notching on the front upper arm. I rounded it over, like a semi circle, so it’s not so jagged and I didn’t have to remove as much material as they said to do.

I have them set on 3 (6 positions) and it rides nice.

Correct Dave. I’m not sure on the weight as I didn’t weigh them compared to the stock Koni coilovers. I’d say only a few pounds, but this wasn’t a big concern of mine. I just wanted to drop the 4x4 look!

FWIW, when I went from OEM Konis to similar QA1s the weight delta was right at 7 pounds per corner.

 

How did you get the correct side windows ? Please let me know. I also bought an extra top and had it painted. Oh , you modded them, my bad. Great job ! Im going to see if I can buy a GTB set, or a GTS set and have a fabricator do the work.

Hahahahahaha.....I am right behind you brother....although I'm guessing my coffee has a bit more Kahlua in it to help deal with all my PO's JC Whitney fixes.

I’m braking out the rum!

 

Removed the plenum to get it powdercoated... refurbed all of the hardware on the throttle body as well as the return spring... cleaned and re-plated and replaced what was necessary.

Cleaned... and cleaned... and cleaned more.

I also removed the cold start valve completely and replaced the connection with the Euro pipe... my new header tank doesn't have the temp sensor on it anyway so it was redundant and just sitting there collecting dirt.

Anyone looking to do that... some parts show a hose that is "S" shaped that is larger on one end and smaller on the other. I wasn't able to find that hose so I wound up using the pipe and plugging off the side opening.
